<li>With market capitalization of U.S. 	$2.17 trillion, the Toronto Stock Exchange is the <strong>seventh largest 	stock exchange in the world</strong>. It is the third largest stock exchange 	in North America.</li>
<li>It is owned by the <strong>TMX Group</strong> that 	looks after its operations.</li>
<li>It was founded on <strong>October 25, 1861</strong> and was established under the act of the Legislative Assembly of 	Ontario in 1878.</li>
<li>The Toronto Stock Exchange boasts 	of a total of <strong>3,741 listed companies</strong> as of November 2010.</li>
<li>It accounts for the <strong>largest global 	share of mining and oil &amp; gas companies</strong> amongst all the stock 	exchanges in the world.
