Vale reached milestone after producing 86M tons of iron ore in Q1

Vale has produced 86.2 million tons of iron ore during Q1 this year, an 11% increase compared to 2016. According to Mining.com, the S11D mine in the Amazon produced more than what was expected. The prices of iron ore have been plummeting due to oversupply and increase of output from China. Despite the recent slump, experts believe demand for iron ore will eventually surpass supply in the future.
