Gua Sha

Gua Sha

Gua sha treatment (also known as coining, spooning or scraping) is a remedial technique that originates from the Eastern parts of Asia. It represents a rubbing of an oiled up area of the body with a special instrument while pressing and stroking in one direction. The facial gua sha that we offer in our clinic is a special kind of massage that uses a particular tool to stimulate the detoxification of the skin and to relax the face muscles. This can result to better blood circulation and reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment is widely known and practised, especially for developing positive energy, and its ability to help with certain aesthetic problems. It not only promotes blood flow and qi energy circulation but also advances the reconstruction of skin cell, enhances skin absorption, prevents ageing and makes the skin look and feel younger.
