Agadir Has a Record Number of Tourists in Sight
Agadir’s tourism is thriving, with 1.27 million tourists and 5.47 million overnight stays by November 2024—up 15% from 2019. British tourists lead in overnight stays, surpassing the French market. The year may close with a record 1.5 million tourists and over 6 million stays, as average hotel occupancy rises to 62% with longer stays.
Tourism is in full swing in Agadir despite the problem of the closure of some hotels on the seafront. As the end-of-year holidays approach, the destination could exceed, for the first time, the mark of 1.5 million tourists and more than 6 million overnight stays if it manages to attract 229,027 tourists by the end of the year.
Less than a fortnight before the end of the 2024 tourist season in Agadir, this exercise is already in full swing and tourism maintains its positive momentum this year. The cumulative results at the end of November demonstrate this, since the Agadir destination has already exceeded the mark of 1.27 million tourists having stayed in classified hotels.
Moreover, overnight stays followed the same trend, according to the recent monthly analysis of the tourist situation carried out by the CRT of Agadir Souss-Massa. This tourist harvest for arrivals allowed, during the first 11 months of the year 2024, to reach an increase of 15.14% compared to 2019 and 14.07% compared to 2023.
Agadir objective: 1.5 million tourists and more than 6 million overnight stays

With the end-of-year celebrations, the destination could exceed, for the first time, the 1.5 million tourist mark and 6 million overnight stays in particular. To achieve this, it will be enough to attract 229,000 visitors by the end of this season.
