Algeria’s national airline, Air Algérie, is reinforcing its presence across Africa through new cooperation agreements signed on Monday, February 16th, in Addis Ababa. The airline concluded partnerships with the African Business Council and the Africa Prosperity Network, according to a company statement.

These agreements are designed to facilitate the mobility of African economic operators, stimulate intra-African trade, and support initiatives aimed at strengthening economic integration across the continent.

Air Algérie’s partnerships include plans to examine preferential arrangements for transporting passengers and freight, while respecting applicable regulations and operational requirements. In addition to air transport, the three parties intend to collaborate on joint actions in several fields, including training and capacity building, institutional visibility, and the mobilization of economic delegations at continental forums and major events.

Through these commitments, Air Algérie seeks to position itself as a central actor in African connectivity, supporting both regional integration and economic development.

Air Algérie Partners supporting continental integration

The African Business Council is an international organization dedicated to representing and supporting African companies, investors, and entrepreneurs. It also acts as a bridge connecting international capital with business opportunities across the continent.

The Africa Prosperity Network, for its part, is a non-profit organization focused on advancing Africa’s economic integration and prosperity in line with the priorities of the African Union’s Agenda 2063. Through collaboration with these partners, Air Algérie reinforces its ambition to play a greater role in promoting connectivity, facilitating trade, and contributing to the long-term economic transformation of Africa.
