The Casablanca-Settat Regional Council held its regular session for October 2025 on Monday at the regional headquarters.

During this meeting, the Council approved the 2026 budget, which has been set at 1.94 billion dirhams. For the same fiscal year, the region’s revenues are projected to reach 1.497 billion dirhams, while total management expenses are estimated at approximately 163.18 million dirhams.

As for capital expenditure, it is expected to exceed 1.3 billion dirhams, reflecting the region’s strong commitment to investment and development. The forecasted unscheduled surplus stands at 34.48 million dirhams. This session was held in accordance with the provisions of Organic Law No. 14-111 relating to the regions, particularly Article 36, which governs the organization and functioning of regional councils in Morocco.

The session’s agenda included the examination and approval of several important partnership agreements. These agreements are part of the ongoing implementation of the Regional Development Programme (RDP) 2022–2027 and aim to support projects of economic, social, and cultural significance. Through these partnerships, the region seeks to strengthen its infrastructure and promote balanced growth across its provinces.

The agenda focused primarily on structuring projects in key areas such as logistics, infrastructure, the environment, and social development. The discussions and decisions made during this meeting represent a crucial step toward defining the region’s strategic development priorities for the upcoming years.

The new projects are designed to achieve two essential goals: reducing territorial and social disparities within the Casablanca-Settat region and improving access to basic services for citizens.

This October 2025 session also reaffirmed the Casablanca-Settat region’s determination to maintain its position as Morocco’s leading economic and logistical hub. The region aims to enhance its competitiveness and attractiveness through targeted investments in infrastructure, environmental sustainability, sports facilities, and social programs.
