Community Energies 2026: Funding Projects Combating Youth Loneliness
ITASolidale ETS has relaunched its “Community Energies” call to fund high-impact social projects across Italy. The fifth edition focuses on youth loneliness and social withdrawal, including hikikomori. With €40,000 available, projects can receive up to €5,000 through matched crowdfunding, plus training and campaign support. Applications close January 9, 2026.
“Community Energies” is back, the call promoted by ITASolidale ETS to support projects with a high social impact throughout Italy. Following the success of the four previous editions, the initiative is renewing itself with a highly topical theme: loneliness and social withdrawal among young people.
A call to rebuild social ties
The fifth edition of the Community Energies call shines a spotlight on one of the silent emergencies of our time: youth isolation, with particular attention to the phenomenon of hikikomori. The goal is clear: to encourage the rebuilding of social bonds, restore trust in the community, and promote the relational and psychosocial well-being of the new generations.
ITASolidale ETS, born from the joint commitment of ITAS Mutua, the ITAS Agents Group Association and the ITAS Employee Solidarity Committee, has made available a total ceiling of 40,000 euros , with a maximum contribution of 5,000 euros per individual project.
How co-financing works through Community Energies works
The mechanism is based on reward crowdfunding with matching funds: third sector organizations must launch their campaign on Produzioni dal Basso, Italy’s leading crowdfunding and social innovation platform, and reach at least 50% of their financial goal. At that point, co-financing by ITASolidale will automatically kick in.
Applications are open until 12:00 noon on January 9th, 2026 , and must be uploaded to the platform’s dedicated network.
Project support and training
But it’s not just a matter of financial resources. Each selected project will receive support from a Produzioni dal Basso campaign manager, who will guide the organization through every phase of the campaign. The support process includes an introductory webinar, a one-on-one in-depth call, a personalized review of the campaign draft, a follow-up webinar, and email support throughout the process.
A 360-degree support that adds to the training offering of ITAS Academy , the program for non-profits available on Attiviamo Energie Positive, the educational platform of Produzioni dal Basso.
Who can participate in the Community Energies Call
The call is aimed at third sector organizations that promote inclusion and support initiatives for young people experiencing social vulnerability, including those at risk or who have not yet been diagnosed.
All submitted projects will be evaluated by a dedicated ITASolidale committee, which will select the most worthy proposals consistent with the call’s objectives. Only approved projects will be able to launch the crowdfunding campaign and access co-financing.
A concrete opportunity to give voice and support to those who work every day to rebuild relationships and restore a future for new generations.
