The crowdinvesting platform CrowdFundMe has signed a new partnership with Fundera, the first Italian portal authorized by Consob to place minibonds. Both companies have obtained Consob authorization to operate pursuant to the new European regulation.

The agreement provides that Fundera will select the best small and medium-sized companies seeking resources in the bond sector, and CrowdFundMe will extend this investment opportunity to its network of investors.

The contents and mutual benefits of the partnership

In this way, SMEs that come into contact with Crowdfundme will have a complete range of tools available, complementary to traditional ones, to support their growth. In fact, they will be able to carry out “equity” operations through CrowdFundMe, “real estate lending” through the subsidiary Trusters, and also issue “minibonds” thanks to the partnership with Fundera.

Investors, on the other hand, will be able to diversify their portfolio by choosing between venture capital investments, fixed income real estate investments and bonds.

This possibility for investors is presumably Fundera’s advantage in signing the partnership. The European Regulation, in fact, also allows “retails” to invest in minibonds, unlike the previous one which placed stringent limits.

Thanks to the partnership, therefore, minibond issues on Fundera will also be able to reach the vast pool of retail investors registered on Crowdfundme.

Who are Fundera and CrowdFundMe

Fundera is among the main Italian operators in the sector and, from 2020 to today, it has placed more than 100 issues on its portal.

The platform is part of the Frigiolini & Partners Merchant group which, since 2015, has supported approximately 250 minibond issuers, or 20% of total issues as reported by the Observatory of the Polytechnic of Milan. Furthermore, Fundera was the first portal to be accredited by Sace as part of the “Italian Guarantee” on minibonds.

CrowdFundMe is one of the main Italian Crowdinvesting platforms and is the first portal to be listed in the history of Piazza Affari. The portal offers the possibility of investing in unlisted companies, carefully selected among those with the greatest growth potential. Investors, both retail and institutional, thus have the opportunity to diversify their portfolio by investing in unlisted assets.

Tommaso Baldissera Pacchetti, CEO of CrowdFundMe, declared: “We have decided to strengthen ourselves in the debt financing sector for SMEs and we have done so with the best operator on the Italian scene in this segment. Thanks to the alliance with Fundera we open up new opportunities for our investors, as well as for startups and SMEs, offering a complete service for investing and raising capital. For 2024 we expect an increase in revenues thanks to this new business dynamic .”
