FinTech Awards Italia 2025: Celebrating Innovation in Finance and Technology
The 5th FinTech Awards Italia will take place on October 10, 2025, at Villa Marigola, Lerici. With high-profile guests and European Commission recognition, topics include AI, blockchain, and cybersecurity. Startups, SMEs, and unicorns will compete for 12 awards. The event strengthens Italy’s financial-tech ecosystem and international competitiveness.

The 5th edition of the FinTech Awards Italia will be held on October 10th 2025, once again in the elegant setting of Villa Marigola in Lerici, kindly granted by Crédit Agricole Italia.
The event was awarded for the first time the emblem of the European Commission, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the University of Genoa, demonstrating the authority that the event has acquired over the years.
The last edition of the Fintech Awards was attended by the Undersecretary of State for Economy and Finance, Hon. Federico Freni, the President of the Finance Commission, Hon. Marco Osnato, and the Group Leader in the Finance Commission, Hon. Giulio Centemero.
The probable participants of the Fintech Awards Italia 2025 edition
For this 5th edition, the Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, Hon. Raffaele Fitto, were invited for his delegation to Cohesion; the Minister of Economy and Finance, Hon. Giancarlo Giorgetti; the Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Hon. Adolfo Urso; the Minister of Education and Merit, Hon. Giuseppe Valditara.
The invitation was also extended to the Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers with responsibility for Innovation and Digital Transition, Hon. Alessio Butti.
Among the speakers at the Fintech Awards Italia, the presence of Dr. Valeria Lazzaroli, President of the National Agency for Artificial Intelligence (ENIA) has already been confirmed.
Themes of the round table and the startups
From a first draft, present on the contest website, the topics that will be discussed during the round table of the Fintech Awards will be: artificial intelligence and the new European law; cybersecurity, cryptocurrencies and blockchain; international competitiveness for Made in Italy technology companies; the new regulations put in place by the government to support startups and SMEs.
Opportunities for UniGE startups, SMEs and spin-offs to apply for 12 prestigious awards divided into different applications of finance and technology.
Also in this edition of the Fintech Awards there will be a category reserved for a company listed on the Italian Stock Exchange and for a “unicorn”, that is, a company that has exceeded one billion euros in valuation.
An ecosystem on finance and technology that Augusto Vecchi, patron and coordinator of the format, has created over the years, establishing national and international partnerships and communities.
Among the personalities who will present the fintech awards, there are also the top management of Confindustria Liguria and Confindustria La Spezia and of the University of Florence, who have always supported this important initiative, which promotes Italian innovation in Europe.
