Flower Burger, Europe’s largest vegan burger chain, celebrates its tenth anniversary with a new crowdfunding campaign on CrowdFundMe. Having already exceeded its €200,000 minimum, the two-month raise targets about €1 million to expand stores, develop plant-based products, and boost customer engagement. With 18 locations and €8M revenue, the brand aims to grow amid a rapidly rising plant-based market.
Flower Burger, the first vegan burger chain in Europe by number of stores, is celebrating its tenth anniversary by launching a new equity crowdfunding campaign on CrowdFundMe, aimed at strengthening its retail network and developing a line of plant-based products for large-scale retail and Ho.Re.Ca channels.
Flower Burger’s campaign already above the minimum target
Flower Burger’s campaign, which went online just a few days ago, surpassed its minimum goal of €200,000 thanks to more than 60 investors, including community members and early retail investors.
The fundraiser, which aims to raise around one million euros, will last approximately two months and will support the development of new products and the consolidation of the network of stores in Italy.
The campaign aims to transform loyal customers into members and ambassadors, strengthening engagement and brand awareness.
A solid retail network and an active community
Founded in 2015 by Matteo Toto, Flower Burger now has 18 directly operated and franchised stores in high-traffic locations.
In 2024, it recorded a turnover of approximately 8 million euros and boasts prominent investors such as Francesco De Mojana, Henry McGovern, and Nicola Volpi, leading figures in the European food and private equity scene.
The brand can count on a community of over 200,000 customers, more than 10 million burgers sold and international partnerships with brands such as Barbie and Hello Kitty.
According to GFI Europe data, the Italian plant-based market is worth 641 million euros and has grown by 16.1% in two years, while plant-based cheeses have grown by 79%.
Flower Burger aims to meet this demand with an inclusive and innovative offering, reinterpreting iconic Italian recipes with a plant-based twist.
The founder’s words: “With this operation we want to consolidate our retail presence and develop new distribution channels, bringing the Flower Burger identity to large-scale retail trade and mass catering,” declares CEO and founder Matteo Toto, underlining the strong immediate support of the community.
The operation’s advisor is Over Ventures, an advisory boutique with the first European crowdfunding studio, led by Giancarlo Vergine, Alberto Vergine and Myryam Sollai.
