Green Sustainable Packaging Completes its Third Acquisition in Sustainable Packaging
Green Sustainable Packaging has acquired Cartotecnica Rigon Srl, a company specializing in packaging solutions for various sectors. Rigon’s family members have reinvested in GSP, holding minority shares, and maintaining operational roles. GSP aims to create a hub of excellent packaging companies. Rigon’s acquisition strengthens GSP’s position with a pro-forma turnover of approximately 30 million euros.
Green Sustainable Packaging (GSP), controlled by Alcedo SGR through the Alcedo V Fund, has acquired 100% of Cartotecnica Rigon Srl (“Rigon”), a company active in the production and marketing of packaging solutions for the food sector, mechanical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical.
GSP has taken over the participation from the Rigon family and some key partners ( Fiorenzo Rigon, Piera Battocchio Rigon and Manuel Rigon ) have decided to reinvest in the project, acquiring a minority share of Green Sustainable Packaging, and will continue to maintain their operational roles with focus, respectively, on the general management, commercial and operations areas.
Rigon is the third acquisition in less than two years by Alcedo in the sector, through Green Sustainable Packaging, with the aim of creating a hub of excellent and complementary companies in the field of advanced packaging solutions.

Green Sustainable Packaging acquisitions
In April 2022, the acquisition of Scatolificio Gondola-Triveneto Srl (“Gondola”) was completed, based in Cazzago di Pianiga (Venice), a company that operates with three divisions (thermoforming, paper converting and paper-cups), whose main strength lies in flexibility and customer service, with a proven ability to process small and medium batches quickly, guaranteeing high quality and reliability of the services offered;
In November 2023, Firma Group Srl (“Firma”) was acquired, with headquarters in Cazzago di Pianiga (Venice), a company active in digital paper converting, also through a to-print website (www.stampaindigitale.it), with a particular focus on display solutions (floor displays, counter displays, advertising totems, window signs).
Rigon, based in Carrè (Vicenza), is a company with over 60 years of history and well recognized in the sector, specialized in the production of cases and boxes in stretched and laminated cardboard, with a cutting-edge machine park and a modern factory and perfectly organized, capable of processing large batches.
With a view to strengthening the group, Marco Scantamburlo, a manager with long and proven experience in the sector, who will be responsible for the strategic development and integration of the companies, has also been appointed as CEO of the GSP group.
Green Sustainable Packaging has a fleet of latest generation machinery
The GSP group, with this latest acquisition, reaches a pro-forma turnover of approximately 30 million euros, a production footprint of over 20,000 m2, with a fleet of latest generation machinery and a highly complementary portfolio of products and packaging solutions, which they range from general packaging in stretched and laminated cardboard to the world of paper-cups (paper cups and glasses), passing from thermoforming of plastic materials up to the world of communication, from brochures to simple and complex display solutions in cardboard and multi-material.
The offset and digital printing technologies integrated into the plants make it possible to satisfy every need in terms of production batches, strengthening the concept of quality, flexibility and reactivity, which has always been a cornerstone for individual companies and now developed in an aggregate context.
All the companies of the group, which have always been attentive to environmental issues, have constantly paid great attention to sustainability, implementing the complete recovery of industrial processing waste, using recyclable materials and developing sustainable processes and products, as demonstrated by the recent important investments in production lines. production of paper cups.
The circularity of the production lines, together with the use of environmentally friendly materials, constitute an important starting point for Alcedo’s commitment to the development and consolidation of the business from an ESG perspective. In fact, Alcedo intends to support Green Sustainable Packaging in building a solid ESG framework and in the process that helps it achieve best practice in environmental sustainability issues.
