Economic independence as a tool to combat gender-based violence. This is the idea behind the Impatto+ 2025 Call for Proposals “Beyond Gender-Based Violence, Economic Independence,” promoted by Banca Etica and Etica Sgr, which currently includes 11 crowdfunding projects on the Produzioni dal Basso platform.

Impatto+ 2025: A social impact crowdfunding model

The Impatto+ 2025 campaigns, which have until January 25th, 2026, to achieve their goals, aim to support financial education, job training, and access to credit for women who experience economic violence.

The Impatto+ 2025 formula is particularly advantageous: thanks to Etica Sgr’s Microfinance and Crowdfunding Fund, projects that reach at least 70% of their goal will receive a non-repayable grant of 30% (increased from 25% in previous editions). What’s more, those who exceed 100% of their budget will receive an additional 5% bonus on the initial goal.

The fund is funded by subscribers to ethical investment funds who choose to donate 1 euro for every 1,000 invested, thus translating responsible savings choices into concrete opportunities for women in need.

From North to South: Projects to Achieve Autonomy

The 11 selected projects for Impatto+ 2025 cover the entire national territory and range across different types of intervention:

In Turin, interactive workshops with film screenings in collaboration with the National Cinema Museum Association to strengthen female empowerment in shelters. In the province of Bolzano , financial and digital education lessons with tips on home economics and housing management solutions. In Perugia , access to microcredit to start sustainable businesses.

And more: in Reggio Emilia, a large professional kitchen is training future food entrepreneurs; in Genoa, beauty and hairdressing courses are available to help people realize dreams shattered by violence. Psychological support, self-esteem coaching, and career guidance are also available.

The lowest common denominator? Collaboration between active citizens, the third sector, and ethical finance, through a model that transforms every donation into concrete opportunities: job grants, housing, and training courses.

The Impatto+ Call for Proposals: Banca Etica’s commitment to women’s empowerment

The Impatto+ Call for Proposals confirms Banca Etica’s commitment to women, as demonstrated by the 2024 figures: 324 women-owned businesses financed (26.8% of organizations, above the national average of 22.2%), with new loans totaling €70 million. In terms of personal loans, 46.8% of new loans were granted to women.

In 2024, an agreement was also signed with the EIB (European Investment Bank) for a €30 million loan, of which at least 30% will be allocated to gender equality projects. In the first year, €815,000 was disbursed for five operations related to this objective.

Among the most significant initiatives is Monetine, a training program for bank staff to recognize the signs of economic violence and support women in difficulty, which led to a collaboration between the Fondazione Finanza Etica and the Fondazione NOI of Legacoop Toscana to train cooperative personnel managers.
