Lea E-Mobility Launches Successful Crowdfunding for Smart E-Bike Charging System CLELIA
Lea E-Mobility, a spin-off of Lea Renergy, launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on CrowdFundMe for CLELIA, a smart solar-powered e-bike parking and charging system. Exceeding €70,000 in two days, the project targets B2B and premium B2C markets. Funds will scale production, install pilot stations in Italy, and expand across Europe’s €50 billion secure-bike market.
The equity crowdfunding campaign of Lea E-Mobility, an innovative startup born as a spin-off of Lea Renergy, is starting with momentum on the CrowdFundMe platform.
The company launches CLELIA , the first intelligent anti-theft parking and charging system for e-bikes, with digital management via app and the option of solar power.
In just two days, the collection, active until mid-December, has already exceeded 70,000 euros, confirming the market’s strong interest in infrastructure solutions for sustainable mobility.
Lea E-Mobility launches a smart solution for safety and charging
CLELIA is a modular and customizable charging station that allows for the safe parking and charging of electric bicycles, eliminating the need for keys thanks to smartphone control.
The system integrates an advanced mechanical and digital anti-theft device, a proprietary software platform and, optionally, a photovoltaic panel for autonomous power supply.
The aim of Lea E-Mobility is to address two critical issues that are holding back the spread of e-bikes: the lack of dedicated infrastructure and thefts, which in Italy exceed 320,000 units per year, with an average value per bike of more than 2,000 euros (source: Statista, Euromonitor).
Target and development
The project is aimed at both the B2B market —municipalities, accommodation facilities, bike hotels, universities, marinas, and companies with corporate fleets—and the premium B2C segment , such as condominiums and high-end residences.
The startup has already completed the prototyping phase, initiated CE certification, obtained the software patent, and set up a 24/7 control room.
The CrowdFundMe campaign will accelerate industrial-scale production and install the first pilot charging stations in Italy, with subsequent expansion to other European countries.
According to Global Market Insight, the global market for secure bicycle parking is worth approximately €50 billion, with an estimated annual growth rate of 7% to 10%.
A rapidly expanding context, fueled by the growing adoption of e-bikes and sustainable mobility policies in Europe.
The Lea E-Mobility’s founder comment: “CLELIA was created to make e-bikes a truly reliable and safe alternative for everyday use,” explains Luigi Marziale , founder and CEO of Lea E-Mobility. ” Incentivizing the purchase of these vehicles isn’t enough: we need infrastructure. With CLELIA, we want to build a smart network, powered by solar energy and managed via an app, to foster a sustainable and practical transition.”
Partners and advisory of Lea E-Mobility
Lea E-Mobility can count on the industrial and technological experience of Lea Renergy , a Bologna-based greentech company active since 2019, which represents its operational and production partner.
The launch of the campaign is supported by Over Ventures, a boutique advisory firm specializing in community capital and European crowdfunding , which is assisting the startup in its positioning and communications strategy.
