MakeYourImpact: Social Impact Competition Open Until March 15th

The MakeYourImpact competition, by Modena Foundation and UniCredit, supports Third Sector organizations in Modena. Eight finalists receive training and up to €1,500 reimbursement. Three winners share €60,000, plus a €5,000 innovation prize. Winners gain mentorship, zero-interest UniCredit loans, and support for social impact evaluation. Applications close March 15th.

There is still time until March 15th to send project proposals and join the social impact competition MakeYourImpact, created by the Modena Foundation and UniCredit, in collaboration with the Italian Foundation Accenture ETS, and the partners AICCON Research Center, Human Foundation, ManagerNoProfit, Confcooperative Terre d’Emilia, Legacoop Estense and the Third Sector Forum of the Province of Modena.

The MakeYourImpact initiative is aimed at supporting and strengthening the capacity of the Third Sector Bodies of the Province of Modena to generate social impact on the territory and on communities.

Among the new features this year is the possibility of obtaining a reimbursement for the finalists who will follow the training. A jury will evaluate the best proposals, which will draw up a first ranking in which the 8 finalist entities will be included that will be able to participate in a workshop that includes a transversal training.

MakeYourImpact offers funding, training, and mentorship to strengthen social enterprises in Modena

The training, organized by MakeYourImpact through three seminars dedicated, respectively, to the drafting of the business plan, to the bankability documents, to the impact assessment, and to a personalized advisory activity, made available by the ManagerNoProfit Association, to support the finalization and sending of the final application. Fondazione Modena has provided a reimbursement of 12,000 euros in total, therefore up to a maximum of 1,500 euros per entity, for the participation of the company staff in the accompanying activities.

The MakeYourImpact initiative aims to support the consolidation and organizational strengthening of businesses and social cooperatives through the redefinition of business processes, the creation or consolidation of new organizational units, digital transformation, green transition, expansion of services and increase in the number and types of beneficiaries.

The call provides for the selection of 3 winners for whom a total liberal contribution of 60,000 euros is available, allocated by the Modena Foundation. A special prize of up to 5,000 euros is also provided by the Italian Accenture ETS Foundation in favor of the project that presents elements of innovation, including technological, capable of guaranteeing the greatest scalability and replicability to the project itself, in terms of quality and quantity of beneficiaries reached.

FIA will also make available to the three winners a targeted mentorship action, aimed at accompanying the beneficiaries in the realization of the project.

The three winners of the MakeYourImpact competition will also have the opportunity to access a UniCredit loan, for a maximum amount of 100,000 euros each, at zero interest for the financed party, as part of the bank’s Impact Financing offer, accompanied by a voluntary donation of up to 5,000 euros pay for success, i.e. linked to the achievement of the project’s social impact objectives.

Human Foundation, thanks to the contribution of Fondazione di Modena, will provide training and technical support for the evaluation and reporting of the social impact of the activities launched by the 3 awarded organizations. Finally, the winners of the MakeYour Impact competition will also be guaranteed the opportunity to use tutoring and mentoring services provided by Confcooperative Terre d’Emilia and Legacoop Estense.
