Mastro Tortello Equity Crowdfunding Campaign on Mamacrowd Is Underway
Mastro Tortello, a Milanese fresh pasta brand, has launched a €1.2M equity crowdfunding campaign on Mamacrowd. Funds will support expansion with two new locations and a centralized production unit. Known for gourmet-filled tortelli and innovation rooted in tradition, the brand saw 30% growth in 2023 and aims to scale globally while maintaining premium quality.
Mastro Tortello, a brand founded in Milan in 2021 to offer high-quality , 100% Italian fresh pasta, handmade with gourmet fillings, in a bistro, has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Mamacrowd with the aim of raising 1.2 million euros.
The funds will be used to open at least two new locations in particularly busy areas (shopping centers or high-traffic streets) and to create a centralized production unit to improve efficiency and continue to guarantee the highest quality of pasta.
Mastro Tortello partnered with the Fioravanti pasta factory
In 2023, thanks to optimized management and over 20,000 customers from 89 different nationalities, the brand recorded a 30% growth compared to the previous year. This result highlights the solidity of the production and distribution system, ready to support large-scale expansion even beyond national borders.
Mastro Tortello was created from the idea of Marco Pagnussat, Riccardo Urso and the starred chef Umberto De Martino , and is characterised by a format that combines innovation and tradition, taking inspiration from the “Plin”, a typical Piedmontese preparation, born in the mid-1800s and whose name derives from the pinch given to the pasta to enclose the filling, squeezed into a thin sheet.
The equity crowdfunding campaign of Mastro Tortello involves entrepreneur Ettore Riello, who decided to invest in Mastro Tortello, recognizing the startup’s potential and supporting the brand’s vision. In addition, a strategic partnership with the Fioravanti pasta factory led to the creation of the “ Tortellino Fioravanti by Mastro Tortello ” line, a new specialty that will be available soon.
At the heart of the offering are the “ mastrotortelli,” tortelli created by chef Umberto De Martino and inspired by iconic dishes of Italian cuisine. His proposal represents an evolution in the casual dining segment, offering fast and high-quality dishes at an affordable price, designed to attract an audience seeking authenticity without sacrificing convenience.
“Our goal is to bring the quality of fresh pasta to an ever-wider audience, combining Italian culinary tradition with a modern and accessible experience. The expansion we are planning with this collection will allow us to continue building a solid brand, capable of combining tradition and innovation in a unique way,” said Marco Pagnussat , CEO of Mastro Tortello.
