Morocco Boosts Investments and Exports in 2024
Morocco strengthened its appeal in 2024, with AMDIE securing 131 projects worth 200 billion dirhams, 114 promotional initiatives across 26 markets, and support for 312 exporters. Key sectors include renewable energy, automotive, and mining. Programs for women entrepreneurs and diaspora mobilization boosted results, confirming AMDIE’s strategic role in diversifying investments and exports.

Morocco’s attractiveness continues to be consolidated. With 131 investment projects approved for a total of 200 billion dirhams, 114 promotional activities covering 26 markets, and more than 300 companies supported in exporting, AMDIE is posting solid results in 2024, driven by sectoral diversification, support for women entrepreneurs, and the mobilization of the Moroccan diaspora.
AMDIE’s 2024 results are marked by the consolidation of investments and exports. This is what emerges from the activity report of the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development, presented at its board meeting.
Morocco Expands Global Reach Through Diversified Sectors and Export Support
In 2024, AMDIE led 114 promotional initiatives covering 26 markets, mobilizing economic actors and international partners. The country welcomed 129 foreign delegations from 34 countries, primarily to explore the potential of the automotive sector, but also emerging sectors such as energy, textiles, and mining.
On the export side, the Agency has stepped up its efforts through the Export Morocco Now 2024–2026 and Export Morocco Now Women programs, designed to support the diversification of markets and strengthen the integration of women entrepreneurs. No fewer than 312 companies and cooperatives have benefited from direct support through 68 promotional operations covering 28 markets.
The National Investment Commission, for its part, approved 131 draft agreements and amendments, representing an estimated investment volume of 200 billion dirhams in Morocco. This is a tangible sign of the Kingdom’s attractiveness, particularly in the strategic areas of renewable energy, aeronautics, tourism, and pharmaceuticals. The report also highlights AMDIE’s strengthened commitment to the Moroccan diaspora. Indeed, meetings and webinars were organized in around ten countries to mobilize the skills and networks of Moroccans around the world.
The goal is to transform this pool into an active relay for the national economic dynamic. However, the agency intends to continue implementing its 2024-2026 strategic plan, which is based on tailored support for investors, expanded support for exporters, the development of the trade fairs and exhibitions sector, and support for economic activity zones.
At the end of the session chaired by the Minister Delegate for Investment, the report on investment and exports in Morocco as well as the achievements report were approved, illustrating AMDIE’s firm commitment to promoting and developing the Kingdom’s investments and exports to foster sustainable economic growth.
