OKX, one of the world’s leading crypto exchanges, is now simplifying the purchase and deposit of cryptocurrencies across the European Economic Area (EEA) through a direct integration with PayPal. This strategic partnership represents a significant increase in convenience and flexibility for European OKX users: From now on, deposits and crypto purchases can be easily processed via PayPal – using familiar payment methods such as PayPal balances, linked bank accounts, debit and credit cards.

This eliminates the previously common intermediate step of having to use external wallets or other payment services. After linking the PayPal account to the OKX account once, deposits are straightforward and require no additional setup.

OKX: Free of charge to start with and regulatory protection

To launch the new feature, OKX is completely waiving fees on crypto purchases and deposits via PayPal for one month. This promotion is exclusively available to users in the EEA and makes getting started with crypto trading particularly attractive.

The integration is also fully MiCA-compliant, thus complying with current European regulations for digital assets. This increases security for users and underscores OKX’s strategic focus on locally regulated markets.

Voices on the partnership: More access, more security

Erald Ghoos, CEO of OKX Europe, emphasizes: “The integration with PayPal is a significant step on our journey to make crypto more accessible to everyone.” PayPal also sees the collaboration as a step forward. Samba Natarajan, Senior Vice President Europe at PayPal, emphasizes: “With the integration of PayPal with OKX in the EEA, we are expanding our users’ options for trading digital assets securely and conveniently.”

Conclusion: Crypto purchases are easier than ever

With the new PayPal integration, OKX is setting a precedent for innovation and user-friendliness in the European crypto market. The combination of familiar payment processing, regulatory security, and an attractive introductory offer sustainably lowers the barriers to entry into the world of cryptocurrencies.
