TopRanked.io Weekly Affiliate Digest: What’s Hot in Affiliate Marketing [RevMasters / BetUS]
This week, we’re going to talk about everyone’s favorite topics: porn and sports betting. And yes, we’re going to tell you how to make some money from each of these right now by taking advantage of a few big things that are happening soon (March Madness, for one). We’ll even drop the tools you need to monetize right into your lap, starting with a quick RevMasters (BetUS) affiliate program review.
Quick Disclosure: We’re about to tell you how the BetUS / RevMasters affiliate program is pretty great. And we really mean it. Just know that if you click on a BetUS / Revmasters link, we may earn a small commission. Your choice.
Common wisdom out on the internet says that all good relationships should be a 50-50 deal.
Of course, when you start looking to get into any real internet relationship (the only real internet relationship is an affiliate marketing relationship), that 50-50 split is rarely found.
So where can an honest, hard-working, good-looking affiliate marketer like you find the perfect internet affiliate relationship?
I have an idea.
TopRanked.io Affiliate Program of the Week — RevMasters / BetUS
Alright, let’s cut to the chase. Join RevMasters / BetUS today, and you’ll get a full 50-50 split on all revenue from your referrals for the first month.
And yes, while this 50-50 split clearly does have a honeymoon period (all relationships do), the ongoing commissions you’ll get with RevMasters still work out better than most of what you’ll find out there on the affiliate “dating” scene.
And besides, if your only reason for joining RevMasters / BetUS is to take advantage of the huge NCAA opportunity in our news section, then that first month might be all you need.
But more on that later.
RevMasters (BetUS) — What It’s All About
By now, you probably noticed I’ve been /’ing RevMasters with BetUS a bit.
And there’s a good reason for that. RevMasters is the affiliate program behind the BetUS brand.
In other words, you sign up with RevMasters as an affiliate. You then promote BetUS. And RevMasters will then pay you.
As for what BetUS is, that’s simple. It’s a sportsbook.
And a very good one at that.
BetUS also has a solid casino offering on the side, which can make for a nice sweetener to the sportsbook deal.
But, if you’re gonna go down a pure casino route, then the nice thing with RevMasters is you’ll also get access to a couple of pure-play casino brands: Vegas Aces and Slots Paradise (which also takes crypto).
Sweet right?
Well, turns out, it gets even sweeter.
RevMasters / BetUS Commissions — 50% Rev Share First Month + More Than Enough After That
As we’ve already given away, Revmasters will pay you 50% rev share for your first month as an affiliate with them.
That’s huge.
But what about for the rest of your affiliate life at RevMasters?
Well, that will depend on how much revenue your referred players are generating. More specifically, that looks like this:
Net Revenue | Rev Share Percentage |
$0-$9,999 | 20% |
$10,000-$14,999 | 25% |
$15,000-$24,999 | 30% |
$25,000+ | 35% |
All up, that’s pretty good (it’s a hell of a lot better than you’ll find most other places!).
But, just in case you want something a little different, RevMasters / BetUS will also consider putting a CPA offer on the table if you’re willing to negotiate. But unlike the guaranteed rev share commissions, what you get out of CPA will be entirely up to you.
RevMasters / BetUS — Here’s How to Get 50% Rev Share Right Now
Heads up, what comes next is a very big, very time-limited sports betting opportunity (first news item below).
So before you read on, do yourself a favor and sign up for RevMasters here.
Done? No?
Maybe you need a little more info. For that head over to TopRanked.io for our full BetUS affiliate program review.
Then once you’re done (and signed up), read on.
Affiliate News Takeaways
Mad Affiliate Gainz: Or How to Make the Most of Your 50% Rev Share @ RevMasters / BetUS (Hint: It’s March Madness)
So, 50% in your first month with BetUS via RevMasters. How are you going to make the most of it?
Well, here’s one opportunity for you that you can get started with next week.
The long name for this opportunity is the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men’s and women’s basketball championship tournaments.
But most normal people know it as March Madness.
And yes, that means it takes place soon.
In a minute, we’ll get to why this is such a big opportunity (and how to make the most of it).
But first, since time-limited opportunity (both your first month earning 50% with RevMasters, and March Madness), let’s get the most important details out of the way first — the dates.
Here’s the schedule for March Madness in 2024:
- First Four: March 19-20
- Round of 64: March 21-22
- Round of 32: March 23-24
- Sweet 16: March 28-29
- Elite Eight: March 30-31
- Final Four: April 6
- National Championship: April 8
Now, why’s this such a big opportunity?
Well, how about this from a recent report over on SBC Americas:
“Research has found that March Madness is a major catalyst for first-time bettors.”
Now, I don’t know about you guys, but I’m yet to find me a sportsbook that’s willing to pay me for referring existing customers. And that means one of the best ways to get paid for the traffic you drive is to target first-time bettors.
And that’s what makes March Madness such a big opportunity.
It’s also great for puns.
Anyway, to get back on point, the downside here is that targeting first-time bettors means you’re gonna see lower retention rates than if you were targeting hardcore degens who are just looking for a better sportsbook.
And that shows in the data. The same SBC report lets us know that “only 50% of new players returned after placing their first bet.”
And you know what? That’s totally okay.
For starters, 50% is a whole lot better than nothing.
Second, we’re really looking to optimize for our first month with RevMasters (reminder, you’re getting 50% rev share for the first month). And that means we’re looking to maximize conversions ASAP and worry about the longtail recurring revenues down the track.
And third — and this is where things get really interesting — there are a couple of points in this data that tip us off on where to target our campaigns.
If you don’t know what I’m getting at here, pay attention to these two points:
- “March Madness is a major catalyst for first-time bettors.”
- “Only 50% of new players returned after placing their first bet.”
Now, full disclosure, what comes next is only me hypothesizing. But, if I’m right, it’ll tip you off big time about how to target traffic. And if I’m wrong… well… I promise it won’t be as catastrophic as this.
My theory is that the massive influx of first-timers and the low retention rates mean a lot of new bettors are people who are only betting because their home/friend’s/kid’s/favorite team is playing a match.
And if that’s correct, then you now have all the information you need to target 2024’s batch of first-time bettors. Specifically, look for Facebook Groups, Discord, Reddit, and other online “meeting places” where fans of whatever NCAA teams are playing hang out.
Now, how you go about this without getting booted for spamming is up to you. But, I’m sure if you put your head into it, you’ll find a way to be helpful/inquisitive/whatever while still working in a way to drive some traffic to your website/affiliate links.
It’s probably also worth pointing out how to time this as well. Obviously, you don’t wanna waste your/your VA’s time lurking around groups/forums for the better part of three weeks.
And that’s where another insight from the SBC report might help:
“Optimove found that there is an increase in bettors on game days compared to the average non-game days in the month.”
In other words, you’re gonna wanna hammer hard on game days for each respective team.
Takeaway
Let’s recap:
- March Madness is a “major catalyst for first-time bettors.”
- March Madness starts next week.
- Sign up with BetUS (RevMasters) now, and you’ll be earning 50% rev share commissions for the entirety of March Madness.
So if that smells like a fun opportunity to make a quick buck, then you know what to do.
And Here’s an Opportunity For Those Who Acted on Last Week’s TopRanked.io Affiliate Digest
If you read last week’s affiliate news digest, then you’ll probably remember we did a quick little NordVPN affiliate program review.
And if you didn’t read last week’s edition, then shame on you. (Just kidding.) Go read it now.
And then make sure you sign up with the NordVPN affiliate program using this link — you’ll need it for what comes next.
Now, first things first, I just wanna take a moment to call out the slick pun in this headline.
And in case you missed it, maybe the next meme might help it sink in.
Got it?
Good. Back to the news.
Last year, Texas introduced 88(R) HB1181 — “An act relating to restricting access to sexual material harmful to minors on an Internet website.”
That basically meant that online purveyors of fine adult entertainment would now have to verify the age of any Texan accessing their website.
But, as you can expect, not everyone was happy about this, and a coalition of pornographers banded together to give Texas a hard time (excuse the pun).
That resulted in a federal appeal, which was denied just last week.
Also, just for fun, here’s a totally innocent picture from the Texas Department of Transportation that suddenly takes on a new meaning.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, instead of requiring age verification from Texans, PornHub and its ilk just outright blocked Texans.
And then this happened.
Now, by now I’m sure you see the opportunity here.
But just in case you don’t, remember how I told you to sign up as a NordVPN affiliate before?
Well that’s because I want you to make some money. In short, there’s never been a better time to make some money selling VPNs in Texas than today. So here’s that NordVPN Affiliate signup link again
Singed up yet?
No?
Seriously, go do it now. Because this is about to get a whole lot better.
You see, while we’ve all been told that things are bigger in Texas, that turns out to be not entirely true.
You see, right now, Texas has a population of about 30 million people. Meanwhile, the EU has a population just shy of 450 million.
Why’s this relevant?
Well, as you may or may not have caught wind of, the EU is in the midst of a bunch of digital reforms. And one of those reforms comes via the Digital Services Act that will impose a bunch of requirements on “very large platforms” (over 45 million monthly visitors).
And one of those requirements is exactly what Texas set out to do — “introduce stronger protections for children.”
Now, if you’ve been reading so far, then I’m sure you can guess what happens next:
Coincidentally, that happened at exactly the same time as the Federal appeal for Texas failed.
And if the EU bid fails, then expect to see an even more massive spike in interest for VPNs coming out of the EU — it’s 15x bigger than Texas.
Takeaway
Right now, VPNs in Texas are hotter than Texas itself in July.
And, if things go according to the EU’s plans, the same thing will happen there, too.
Coincidentally, we gave you the keys to monetize this last week. And then again this week (incase you missed it, here’s the NordVPN affiliate sign up link.
Now, of course, you don’t have to do anything about this opportunity. But, if you are going to pass up on it, you’d better make sure it’s because you’ve got something even bigger to pursue instead.
And right now, about the only opportunity that’s bigger than this is the chance to grab 50% rev share for your first month at BetUS right as March Madness drives new bettor signups through the roof.
So You’re Not an Affiliate? Maybe You Should Be
So speaking of the EU shaking things up, its Digital Markets Act (DMA) went into full effect last week for the so-called “gatekeeper” platforms. (Apple, Alphabet, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft and ByteDance.)
As for what the full implications are, that’s not entirely relevant for now.
What is relevant, however, is that both Apple and Google now have to give users a choice when it comes to setting a default browser on their phone.
And here’s what the effect of this was on iOS downloads of a popular Chrome-based alternative.
Now, what’s a sharp uptick in Brave browser installs got to do with affiliate marketing, you might be asking?
Well, you know how ad blockers have been called the biggest boycott in history?
And you know how mobile browsers have so far mostly been immune to this “boycott” owing to the impossibility of installing ad block extensions in mobile browsers?
Heck, even the so-called “adblocker browsers” contained ads.
Well, turns out that Brave “blocks third-party ads and trackers (and pop-ups) by default.”
No extensions or faffing about necessary. Just pure, ad-free bliss straight out of the box.
And if the trend of people making the switch to Brave stays on the same trajectory, then that means a whole lot more mobile devices are about to start blocking third-party ads.
Takeaway
So, what’s this got to do with affiliate marketing?
Well, if you’ve got a website and you’re currently monetizing with third-party ads, then maybe it’s time to throw a little affiliate love into the mix. Your own first-party affiliate plugs will never get erased by pesky ad blockers.
And if you’ve never dipped your toes in the affiliate waters, then what better way to try than with a program that’s offering to pay you 50% rev share for your first month?
And yes, I am talking about RevMasters / BetUS.
Closing Thought
This week, we focused a lot on short-term opportunities. As a reminder, those opportunities are:
- 50% rev share for your first month with RevMasters / BetUS. (Sign up here)
- The (almost) three-week long March Madness first-time bettor opportunity. (Again, monetize here)
- And the spikes in VPN interest following age verification requirements for pr0n site3z. (Sign up as a NordVPN affiliate here.)
Naturally, with such a heavy short-term focus, I went out to try and find a few authoritative sources to justify why I think you should test out some short-term opportunities.
But, as you might expect, that search turned out to be for nothing. The pessimists of the internet seem to think there’s no value in short-term opportunities.
And so I thought it was time to prove them wrong.
Now, of course, I’m not about to say you should quit all your long-term projects in favor of chasing new shiny things. That would be silly.
But I do think there’s some value in pursuing short-term opportunities.
For starters, most businesses fail. And that’s fine.
What’s not fine is getting stuck in a sinking ship over the long term because you fell for the old sunk cost fallacy.
Fortunately, with short-term opportunities being exactly that — short-term — their time-limited nature helps protect you from your cognitive biases. After all, you can’t keep sinking costs into something that’s no longer there, can you?
But maybe that’s not convincing enough for you.
So here’s one reason to chase something short-term that all the internet gurus can agree with — if you wanna grow, it’s really important to always be trying something new.
And what better way to keep trying something new than to always have a fun, time-limited side project that could also make you money?
That’s what I thought.
So how about you scroll back up, re-read our first news story, and then go sign up with RevMasters / BetUS today?
You’ll be doing yourself a favor if you do.
