STS Isolamenti Involves Green Pea in Its Crowdfunding Round
STS Isolamenti, a leader in acoustic insulation, has raised nearly €270,000 in an equity crowdfunding campaign to support growth, European expansion, and new sustainable material certifications. Known for its innovative noise reduction solutions, including a sound-absorbing shell for heat pumps, the company collaborates with top clients like Cartier, Amazon, and Maserati, aiming to combat noise pollution.
STS Isolamenti, an engineering company that develops, patents and produces acoustic insulation solutions, is convincing investors of the equity crowdfunding campaign on Mamacrowd with a collection of almost 270,000 euros already.
Among the first to believe in it was also Green Pea, the Green Retail Park dedicated to a sustainable lifestyle, founded by the Farinetti family in December 2020, which will soon host an exhibition of STS Isolamenti technology.
The campaign aims to raise 500,000 euros that will be used to support the company’s growth, contribute to its expansion in Europe and finance new certifications of increasingly sustainable materials.
Noise pollution is the 5th environmental risk factor for health
In European capitals, around 60 million people are exposed to harmful levels of noise pollution on a daily basis, with direct consequences for their health. And noise pollution is now recognized as the fifth environmental risk factor for health, with proven effects on blood pressure, stress levels and the risk of heart attacks.
STS Isolamenti, founded in Turin in 1978 and led by Giorgio and Roberto Cellerino, Elisabetta Pellicciotta and Claudio Fiume, has gained a long experience in the noise control sector and in 2016 began its transformation with the filing of the first patent and the development of a design method called “Floating Masses”, developed in collaboration with the physics laboratory of FIMIT (Fabbrica Italiana Materiali Isolanti Torino) and with researchers from INRiM (Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica).
Currently, STS Isolamenti is one of the few innovative SMEs in the sector, has registered 4 patents, has a team of 20 direct and indirect employees and a turnover growth of 15% on an annual basis.
STS Isolamenti launches an absorbent shell to absorb noise
Recently, STS Isolamenti has developed a sound-absorbing shell (SH Pod) for external motors of air conditioners and heat pumps composed of 80% shredded cotton in the sound-absorbing part, which is mostly obtained from recycled clothes, and at least 50% recycled iron in the external part.
This solution dramatically reduces noise and protects against atmospheric wear , while maintaining high energy performance.
In Europe, the reference market for this product has 70 million installed units, with an estimated growth of up to 100 million in the next few years, thanks to the European Union directives that encourage the replacement of gas boilers with heat pump systems by 2030.
STS Results and Plans for the Future
Numerous prestigious clients have already adopted STS Isolamenti soundproofing solutions, including Cartier, Virgin Active, Amazon, and Maserati, as well as recording studios, artists, and musicians. These collaborations demonstrate the effectiveness and quality of STS solutions in improving the acoustic environment in high-profile contexts.
“Long-standing experience in this sector and the desire to continuously innovate our products has led us to collaborate with large clients. Today we aim to reach foreign markets and, at the same time, patent solutions produced with increasingly sustainable materials to make a concrete contribution to reducing noise pollution. Our recent collaboration, which I am enthusiastic about, with the Green Pea shopping centre, which shares our attention to environmental protection, is going precisely in this direction,” said Giorgio Cellerino, CEO of STS Isolamenti.
