Swytch Technology is expanding with the lightweight Swytch GO e-bike and improved MAX+ drive, offering urban flexibility and extended range, respectively. Priced competitively, both products launch in 2025. A November 2024 crowdfunding campaign aims to fuel EU and US expansion, strengthening partnerships and boosting the London-based company’s presence in global cycling markets.

The British innovation forge Swytch Technology is opening a new chapter for 2025. After successfully establishing itself as a provider of e-bike retrofit kits, the London-based company is presenting its own complete bike for the first time – the Swytch GO e-bike.

At the same time, the improved MAX+ drive is being launched on the market, and investors can participate in the success story through a new crowdfunding campaign .

Swytch GO E-Bike: Lightweight with flexible options

With the Swytch GO e-bike, the company is entering the segment of complete e-bikes for the first time. The model has an astonishingly low weight of just 16 kilograms and combines this with well-thought-out features: an aluminum frame, disc brakes and seven gears promise quality and functionality.

A highlight is the drive, which can be removed in just a few seconds thanks to the modular system. This means that the GO e-bike can be converted into a classic bicycle when required – a function that should be of particular interest to urban users.

The market launch is planned for summer 2025, with a price of 1,199 euros . This positions the e-bike well below comparable models in the entry-level segment and offers a convincing price-performance ratio.

MAX+: Improved range and new features

In addition to the new complete bike, Swytch is also setting standards in the retrofitting sector. The revised MAX+ drive is scheduled to be available from spring 2025 and offers impressive innovations: the range is increased to up to 96 kilometers – more than three times as much as the previous model.

The integrated battery is now equipped with a USB-C port and includes a built-in light, making additional bicycle lighting unnecessary.

Also new is a specially developed rear motor that integrates the pedal sensors and reduces the system to just two components. The MAX+ kit can be pre-ordered in 2024, with a pre-order price of 499 euros. After the market launch, the price will rise to 1,199 euros.

New crowdfunding campaign: Focus on expansion

Swytch is building on its crowdfunding roots and is planning a new campaign on the Crowdcube platform, which will start at the end of November 2024. The aim is to finance a Europe-wide expansion and to acquire additional trading partners in the EU and the USA. So far, the company has convinced over 100 retailers in the UK. The planned investment is intended to massively expand such cooperations.

CEO Oliver Montague is optimistic : “With the MAX+ we have implemented important customer requests, and the GO e-bike will appeal to those who are hesitant to use retrofit kits. Our crowdfunding campaign will help us to make Swytch even more present in bike shops.”
