The collaboration now also involves the province of Trento and includes a special benefit for ITAS customers: by signing up for the RC Auto policy, policyholders will get three free mobile recharges of 25kWh each to be used within 3 months of activating the E-Gap voucher. The service allows recharging at any place with the support of a special van that reaches the subscriber with geolocation via App.

E-Gap, an urban, mobile, and on-demand fast-charging startup that promotes electric mobility, has raised a €10 million round led by ITAS Mutua. The deal seals the start of a partnership between the Trentino-based insurance company and the startup founded in Milan in February 2019 by Eugenio De Blasio and Daniele Camponeschi.

“We are very pleased with this collaboration, which allows us to give, once again, a concrete response to the needs of environmental sustainability that society confronts us with every day,” explains Alessandro Molinari, managing director and general manager of Itas. “We have always been attentive to our environmental footprint, and in recent years there have been many initiatives that have engaged us on this front, as evidenced by our annual sustainability report.”

The agreement between Itas and E-Gap

The collaboration, after landing in Brescia, now also involves the province of Trento and also includes a special benefit for ITAS customers: by signing up for the RC Auto policy, policyholders will get three free mobile recharges of 25kWh each to be used within 3 months of activating the E-Gap voucher. The service allows recharging at any place with the support of a special van that reaches the subscriber with geolocation via App.

“The agreement with Itas aims to spread the values of environmental sustainability among its customers and promote the use of sustainable mobility. Trento is a new stage in a growth path that has led E-Gap to expand to new cities in Italy but also in France, Germany and Spain in the past year,” added Eugenio de Blasio, founder and president of E-Gap.

To date, E-Gap’s service is present in Rome, Milan, Bologna, Turin, Verona, and Brescia. As planned in the three-year business plan, E-Gap 2022 expanded the scope of its service outside the Italian borders by opening in France (in Paris), Spain (in Madrid) and Germany (in Munich).

Operations in Britain (in London) and Portugal (Lisbon) will also be activated in 2023, and in the coming years, the service is scheduled to open in other French (in Lyon, Bordeaux, and Marseille), Spanish (in Barcelona and Valencia), and German (Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt) cities, and also in new countries such as the Netherlands (Amsterdam), and Greece (Athens).
