Mickey Rourke Turns to Crowdfunding Amid Financial Struggles

American actor, screenwriter, and former boxer Mickey Rourke is going through a difficult time. Rourke’s example shows that even a well-known name in Hollywood and internationally doesn’t guarantee a rosy life.

In December 2025, the actor received a notice from his landlord that he owed nearly $60,000 on his Los Angeles property. “Life doesn’t always move in a straight line, and despite everything Mickey has given through his work and his life, he is now dealing with a difficult financial time that has put his home at risk,” reads the GoFundMe post.

Faced with this dire situation, Mickey Rourke has opted for crowdfunding, asking for help from the public who had followed him for years to help him avoid losing his home.

However, the recent death of Udo Kier, who co-starred in the film, forced production to halt, leaving the public with no further news.
