ReLife Recycling Acquires Palcart Recycling Operations in Verona
ReLife Recycling, part of ReLife Group, has acquired Palcart’s recycling operations in Verona, strengthening its presence in Northeast Italy and expanding the Oppeano hub. The move increases plant capacity, enhances technical expertise, and supports its circular economy strategy. The group processes nearly one million tons of waste annually across 24 Italian sites.
ReLife Recycling, a division of ReLife Group specializing in material recovery and recycling, has acquired the recycling operations of Palcart in Verona. The transaction strengthens the group’s presence in Northeast Italy and reinforces its industrial footprint, particularly through the Oppeano production hub.
It also supports the company’s broader circular economy strategy, aimed at increasing recovery volumes and improving operational efficiency across its network of plants.
Following the acquisition, ReLife Group further consolidates its leadership in the material recovery and recycling sector
The group operates 24 production sites across central and northern Italy and continues to expand its integrated network of facilities. The addition of Palcart’s operations increases plant capacity and enhances technical expertise within the organization. This development aligns with ReLife’s ongoing efforts to scale up its recycling activities and optimize the management of different waste streams across its infrastructure.
ReLife Recycling is active in the collection and recycling of municipal solid waste from separate waste collection systems, non-hazardous special waste generated by companies, and hazardous waste. Across its operations, the group recovers nearly one million tons of waste each year.
These materials include waste paper and cardboard, plastics, multi-layer polymers, and other recyclable materials. The acquisition therefore contributes to strengthening the group’s ability to manage and process a broad range of recovered materials within its existing system.
Management perspective and operational integration
According to Massimiliano Bianco, CEO of ReLife Group, the acquisition is part of a wider growth strategy that includes external expansion and careful evaluation of consolidation opportunities within Italy. He emphasized that Northern Italy, and particularly the Northeast, remains a key geographic area for future investment and development. The transaction is consistent with the group’s objective of reinforcing its presence in strategically important regions.
Luca Mannori, CEO of ReLife Recycling, highlighted the operational benefits of integrating Palcart’s activities. He noted that the acquisition allows for an expansion of production capacity at the Oppeano plant and enables the company to leverage the expertise of incoming personnel. This integration is expected to strengthen the industrial structure of the area and improve the overall efficiency of operations within the recycling division.
