Wowcat is offering a wide variety of colors over the black that bathes much of the bike and is promoting its design on the Indiegogo website to raise funding. Contributors to this launch phase can purchase one of the first units for $799 (€759) for the 250 W model and $999 (€948) for the 350 W variant. Urban electric bicycles can be used both for commuting to work and for weekend exercise in Spain. Some people prefer to convert their old bike into an electric one with an adapter, but most opt for modern models that can even be folded up for public transport and are lightweight.

The Wowcat brand has created this model, named C1, with a modern and striking design capable of offering 7 different levels of assistance and autonomy up to 120 kilometers. It is a high-end and innovative model that is looking to go to the market to compete with the big ones.

Its creators have presented this design on the crowdfunding website Indiegogo where they are reaching the top of the necessary budget. This bike with 250 W or 350 W power motor aims to reach the first buyers early next year.

One of its most remarkable qualities is the folding design in half to join the wheels together. The intermediate clamp folds the bike in a few seconds, 10 according to the company’s calculations, and allows it to be secured when riding. In addition, parts of the frame have been lined with leather to give it a more urban style.

The company has opted for carbon fiber for the frame of the bike and lightened the weight without sacrificing strength, the total weight is 17.4 kilograms. Its design is of modern dyes in strong colors such as the contrast between black and red.

If you want to exercise or if you need to get to work quickly without breaking a sweat, the bike allows you to level the degree of assistance offered by the motor with each pedal stroke. The system can regulate the impulse between 7 different assistance models and speeds.

Responsible for this assistance is the 250 W or 350 W rear hub motor, depending on the model, with torque-sensing that can reach a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The mechanical gears are from Shimano Tourney and the battery is located in the seat post, from where it offers a long range of up to 120 km with assistance per charge.

Users can check the status of the electric bike, the battery charge level, or trip and speed information on the 3.5-inch color display located in the middle of the handlebars. On the other hand, the bike features 20-inch wheels wrapped in 2.3-inch-wide tires. Braking power comes courtesy of the mechanical disc brake and there is integrated LED lighting at the front and rear.
