ACBC partners with OVS to develop products that combine contemporary design, quality, and responsible innovation
As part of the partnership, ACBC is providing its expertise in supply chain management and product innovation, introducing solutions such as Infinitive Leather, a GRS-certified material with up to 55% recycled leather fiber and a significantly reduced carbon footprint.
ACBC, a boutique consultancy specializing in material, product, and business model innovation in the fashion, luxury, and lifestyle sectors, has announced a new partnership with OVS, starting with the SS26 and FW26 seasons.
ACBC partnership with OVS will focus on the development and production of footwear collections featuring innovative materials, certified recycled content, and a supply chain aligned with the highest environmental and social standards. ACBC partners with OVS to develop products that combine contemporary design, quality, and responsible innovation, helping to strengthen its market positioning, according to a statement.
Among the collection’s distinctive materials is Infinitive Leather, an innovative solution incorporating up to 55% recycled leather fiber, derived from tanning industry waste and certified according to the GRS (Global Recycled Standard).
The material, obtained by integrating recycled fiber into a textile matrix and subsequent mechanical surface treatments, is able to reproduce the sensorial characteristics and durability of traditional leather. Compared to conventional bovine leather, it also allows for a reduction in CO₂ emissions of up to 90%, thanks to the use of low-impact inputs and more efficient production processes.
The partnership between ACBS and OVS started with the goal of maximizing positive impact along the entire value chain, integrating certified raw materials and innovative processes capable of transforming innovative and sustainable materials into products with high qualitative and perceived value.
“This partnership represents a concrete step toward an increasingly responsible business model focused on creating shared value,” commented Gio Giacobbe, CEO of ACBC. “We are providing OVS with our expertise to develop collections that combine design, quality, and measurable sustainability, helping raise industry standards and support decarbonization goals.”
