A Crowdfunding Campaign for the Restauration of the Landsberg Castle Was Launched

The crowdfunding campaign is still running for 75 days (as of June 16th). The way was paved for the construction work by the NRW Foundation. A firm commitment of €250,000 has been made. A further €50,000 will be provided if the sponsoring association itself manages to raise €50,000. In other words, the foundation doubles every euro raised by the association itself.

It is a large and at the same time innovative project, which is planned in Nienborg, and for which to be completed, a crowdfunding campaign was launched. The history of the castle is to be brought to life with a new building, integrated into the historic structure. For everyone. This will cost a lot of money. But only a “small” balance is still missing.

800 years of Nienborg history lie dormant under the old castle tavern. Its demolition has long been planned. A new building is to be constructed. A multimedia exhibition is planned in the cellar amidst the historical finds. Even if the demolition is somewhat delayed: The home stretch has been reached.

NRW Foundation paved the way

The way was paved for the construction work by the NRW Foundation. A firm commitment of €250,000 has been made. A further €50,000 will be provided if the sponsoring association itself manages to raise €50,000. In other words, the foundation doubles every euro raised by the association itself.

Just how great the willingness to help is in the district became impressively clear at the castle festival (825 years of Nienborg). The festival committee had assured the sponsoring association of all revenue subsidies. €25,000 have already been collected. Half of the own contribution is already covered.

Now the sponsoring association is taking the next step and has started a crowdfunding campaign at Volksbank Gronau-Ahaus. The aim is to raise the remaining €25,000 if possible. The first €25 (as of June 16 at 4 p.m.) have already been received.

The crowdfunding campaign is still running for 75 days (as of June 16th)

Don’t get confused when donating. As a target sum €50,000 is indicated. In it, however, already the €25,000 for the castle celebration are contained. This is to be integrated into the portal shortly.

“We are very excited. It is clear to us that it is a large sum, which we want to get together in such a way, but we are nevertheless optimistic, let Jürgen Lammers of the carrier association in the discussion with the editorship know.

So now all citizens interested in the project are asked, once again, to contribute to the crowdfunding campaign. “Every euro counts and is important”, stressed Jürgen Lammers. The fact that it is going well is also shown by the fact that 100 “fans” have been found within a few days. This is the number needed to start crowdfunding in the first place.
