Dishcovery business model was revised
After the critical period due to the lockdown that has heavily affected the world of catering, the founders of Dishcovery, have revised the business model by focusing on digital tools to serve delivery and take away.
A little more than a year after that moment, Dishcovery boasts 1 million users every month and works with over 4,000 restaurants. In addition to being present in the best restaurants in Italy – including Osteria Francescana – the startup has undertaken important collaborations with large multinationals in the Food & Beverage world. Among these, Coca-Cola and AB InBev, which distribute Dishcovery digital menus to their customers in the Ho.Re.Ca. world.
ART-ER offers several services to support start-ups in the region: in addition to incubation paths and the emiliaromagnastartup portal that offers opportunities on calls for proposals, funding, and growth paths, ART-ER organizes Start Cup Emilia-Romagna, the competition for business ideas from the academic world. To foster the exchange of innovation and experiences between start-ups and established companies, ART-ER has created a Board of experts who offer free support. Other services offered are the accompaniment to trade fairs (the call for participation in the next edition of SMAU Milan is open) and support for internationalization. Finally, ART-ER organizes Open Innovation programs to encourage the meeting between established companies and startups and coordinates IN-ER, the network of regional incubators present in all provinces of the territory.
From this year, moreover, the operativity of KICK-ER, the free service created to orient and accompany start-ups, companies or business projects, research laboratories, and local authorities that have innovative projects and intend to launch a crowdfunding campaign for their realization, has expanded. In the first five years of activity of KICK-ER, 200 requests have been managed and 18 crowdfunding campaigns have been supported, all successfully concluded.
ART-ER is among the founders of the Italian Strategic Group of the European Crowdfunding Network together with Fondazione Fenice Onlus, Osborne & Clarke, and Unioncamere Lombardia. An organism of sharing of good practices, experimentation of new models, and analysis and studies on crowdfunding. Over the years, agreements have been made with platforms to facilitate the meeting between start-ups and capital.
