Deagle Launches Crowdfunding for SEM, First Transportable Renewable Energy Production System

To fund its first SEMs, Deagle has launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Ecomill.it, the first Italian platform to facilitate the matching of supply and demand for capital in the energy transition and sustainability sectors. The company aims to raise €200,000 against a total valuation of €5.1 million, but the capital increase is up to €800,000.

One of the most recurring issues in Energy Transition is that of fuel-powered generators, which are very polluting (they run on fossil fuels), dangerous, noisy, inefficient, and not very clean.

This need is answered by Project SEM (Super Energy Mobile), the first hybrid power generation system powered by renewable sources, which is totally transportable, patented, and requires no license for use.

The crowdfunding round to finance the production of SEM

SEM was developed by Deagle, an engineering company that develops solutions for the aerospace, renewable energy, and artificial intelligence sectors, areas in which the founders and team have decades of know-how and experience.

Among the advantages for investors, a time horizon within which it is possible to monetize their investment stands out.

In fact, the founding partners, after 3 or 4 years from the closing of the campaign, can buy back the shares of those who invested, with a commitment to recognize at least 150% of the purchase value.

Chiara Candelise, CEO and founder of Ecomill, says, “The energy transition requires a well-rounded technological and productive approach: solutions such as SEM are the smart answer to concrete problems and allow operating in niches of demand that are not currently being met.”

The SEM system: producing renewable energy where, usually, it is impossible

The SEM system responds to the growing need for “green” energy, for example in events as an alternative to highly polluting diesel generators or for construction companies that are currently unable to bid due to a lack of requirements where local regulations impose stringent parameters on environmental pollution and noise.

It also meets energy needs where infrastructure is not built because it is inefficient and particularly expensive, such as in Mountain Communities or rural villages in Africa and elsewhere.

SEM’s prototype has already been successfully tested in several projects (village in Gabon, project with the Italian Red Cross) and in particular has been used for about three years to produce clean energy to light a manufacturing plant.

In addition, the prototype was presented with related demonstration of operation at the provincial fire brigade headquarters in Naples and attracted much interest.

The renewable energy market

According to Terna’s monthly report, in the first 8 months of 2023, RES (renewable energy sources) covered 43.8 percent of Italy’s electricity demand.

Production from renewables in August is broken down as follows: 34.7% hydro, 33.3% photovoltaic, 15.5% wind, 12.6% biomass, and 3.9% geothermal.

In the first eight months of 2023, the capacity increase in Italy reached 3,470 MW, which is about 1,733 MW (+100%) higher than the same period in 2022.

The recovery of production from hydropower (+49.8%) and the growth of photovoltaics (+19.8%) continue, and production from wind power (+43.8%) is also on the rise. Production is expected to more than double by 2030, leaving great scope for those in the industry.

Who is Deagle

Deagle is an engineering company founded in Naples by a team of managers, who combine their experience in high-tech sectors: aerospace, renewable energy, and artificial intelligence.

The company’s mission is to develop innovative and sustainable turnkey solutions to improve the quality of life by supporting Clients through the integration of multidisciplinary skills: digital, sustainable, and global.

Deagle is in charge of designing high-tech engineering solutions, from conception to requirements definition, throughout the development project, to certification and test qualification.

In addition, it produces structural, mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, and actuator designs for integrated systems, as well as prototypes, equipment, and automated systems for the industrial, civil, and military markets.

Finally, it is involved in manufacturing and certifying aircraft and part of them, including signal processing, and static and dynamic experimental tests.
