Temenos to Acquire Additiv to Boost AI Wealth Management
Temenos is acquiring Zurich fintech Additiv to strengthen its digital wealth management and expand AI-driven financial orchestration. Additiv’s platform connects data, applications, and processes used by banks, asset managers, and insurers. The company will join Temenos but keep its brand. The deal, paid in cash and shares, is expected to close in 2026.
Geneva-based banking software provider Temenos is acquiring Zurich fintech companyAdditiv to strengthen its digital wealth management business and enhance AI-driven financial process orchestration.
Additiv develops a platform that connects processes, applications, and data sources within financial institutions, enabling banks, asset managers, and insurance companies to create digital services and serve customers across multiple channels. After the transaction closes, Additiv will join the Temenos Group but continue operating under its own name.
Deal strengthens Temenos’ digital wealth and AI orchestration capabilities
The acquisition is especially important for Temenos’ wealth management segment. It expands the company’s offering to include services for mass affluent clients, meaning high-net-worth individuals below the traditional private banking level. Temenos also gains an orchestration layer designed to automate processes and integrate artificial intelligence into financial services workflows.
According to Additiv, around 30 companies globally in banking, asset management, and insurance currently use its platform. The company employs approximately 200 people and is headquartered in Zurich, with additional offices in Singapore, Frankfurt, Dubai, London, Jakarta, and Makati City in the Philippines.
Temenos believes the technology has applications beyond wealth management. It expects the platform to enable greater automation of complex workflows such as account openings, loan applications, and other digital customer journeys. The system is designed to help financial institutions connect data, applications, and customer interactions across different environments.
The deal will be structured as an equal mix of cash and Temenos shares, although financial terms were not disclosed. Completion of the acquisition is subject to standard regulatory approvals, with closing expected in the third quarter of 2026. Following completion, Additiv’s management team, led by founder Michael Stemmle, will continue to operate the business independently within the Temenos Group.
