Trak Health Solutions seeks allies in the insurance world. The San Sebastian technology company, which offers rehabilitation services through an  app, has signed a contract with the Spanish mutual insurance company Sanitas (Bupa) to accelerate digital health, according to Jon Vital, CEO and co-founder of the  startup.

The Basque company will include its Trak application in Sanitas’ bluaU digital health insurance, with which it hopes to transform  the rehabilitation and well-being experience  of its clients through technology and digital healthcare. Therefore, all Sanitas policyholders who have this digital health insurance will benefit from this service.

Trak allows you to identify up to twenty joint points in the human body

The Trak Health Solutions application seeks to offer health professionals and clients an advanced platform to manage rehabilitation treatments. As a novelty, this service integrates telecare and Artificial Intelligence (AI) functionalities that personalize exercise and therapy programs for a more accessible and faster recovery.

In parallel, the company is finalizing a financing round, with which it hopes to raise one million euros with the aim of continuing to work and develop tools that improve rehabilitation treatments through advanced technology.

Trak Health Solutions is a company founded in 2020 , dedicated to creating technological solutions for health. Their product is  telerehabilitation software  for prescribing therapeutic exercise sessions.

The startup’s product  includes an AI algorithm capable of identifying up to twenty joint points in the human body and only needs the camera of a laptop or mobile phone to analyze movement and correct the patient in real time. In addition, the session is recorded and the mobility, range and strength data are sent to the professional for personalized monitoring of the patient.

In addition to Vital, Carlos Rodríguez-Sierra is the other co-founder of the health technology company and serves as the company’s chief operating officer. Both observed a lack of assistance in patient rehabilitation from home, driven by the lockdown due to Covid-19.

In May 2021, the company entered three Ribera group hospitals: Torrejón, Vinalopó and Povisa. In May of that same year, Trak Health Solutions sealed an alliance with Janssen to use Trak in patients with rheumatic diseases and in September it launched the commercial version for physiotherapists and hospitals.
