The crowdfunding platform “Many Create More” is on the road to success. Since the start of the portal for non-profit projects, which was launched by VR Bank Bamberg-Forchheim eG in March 2022, more than 2,300 supporters have raised a total of almost €300,000 for very different projects in the region. This success shows how well crowdfunding is received by local people.

In the catchment area of the Hirschaid branch alone, seven crowdfunding campaigns were successfully completed, which the regional bank took as an opportunity to organize a joint check presentation on-site. Board member Thomas Schwarz and branch manager Christoph Rüger invited the representatives of the various associations and initiatives to a drink at the Hirschaid branch.

ASV Herrnsdorf Schlüsselau, for example, was pleased about the renewal of the sprinkler system. The Regnitz-Engels can dispose of a budget for common undertakings. FC Falke Röbersdorf now trains under bright and at the same time economical LED lights. At ASV Sassanfahrt, the children’s playground could be modernized, while at MCS Sassanfahrt, thanks to the new dance floor, joint-friendly and healthy dancing is possible. In addition, the Mikado kindergarten was able to start the purchase of a so-called Ullewaeh system for the gymnasium. During a planned tour in September, representatives of the bank will take a look at the financed play equipment on site.

In addition to handing over the respective donation checks, the evening was also used for a lively exchange of ideas and the idea of celebrating successes together was very well received.

Board member Thomas Schwarz draws an extremely positive conclusion: “I am thrilled by the great commitment of the clubs and their supporters. As a regional bank, we see it as our duty to promote and support initiatives for local people. With our crowdfunding platform, we are obviously in tune with the spirit of the times – because great ideas and projects have once again been realized here. A digital meeting place has been created where non-profit projects and supporters can find each other.”
