With the new resources, the research company will be able to increase its workforce from 23 to 26 direct jobs by 2021.

a2censo, the investment platform for SMEs, announced that it closed its largest campaign to date, raising 443 investors and $700 million in just four hours at a rate of 12% Annual Percentage Rate (CAGR) for Aoxlab, a company with nine years in the research and science sector.

With this transaction, a2censo surpassed $10 billion funded with more than 2,000 active investors in the collaborative ecosystem.

According to data from the research sector company, Latin American companies need to send their products to other countries with high analysis costs and long waiting times. In Colombia, the Colombian coffee, cocoa, pharmaceutical, and food industries demand more than 20 million specialized laboratory and service tests that generally need to be done in another country.

This was the great opportunity for specialized services that Aoxlab identified for its growth, which is why it turned to a2censo to invest in the acquisition of specialized equipment that will allow it to expand its service offerings and certify its products at an international level.

The company will increase its turnover in the next five years to $5.9 billion

Yasmín Lopera, general manager and technical director of Aoxlab, emphasized that “we turned to a2censo because we needed a very high amount and it was not going to be so easy to acquire it through traditional financing mechanisms and in a short period of time. In another case, we would have had to look for a strategic partner and lose part of the company’s share. The crowdfunding model can be very beneficial to accelerate business and growth of companies in the short and long term.”

The resources obtained in the collaborative ecosystem will allow them to increase their turnover from $2.8 billion in 2020 to $5.9 billion in less than five years, expanding the services offered by 30%.

In turn, this growth driven by a2censo.com will allow them to increase their staff from 23 to 26 direct jobs in 2021.
