Better Care and Oracle have signed an agreement to collaborate on joint projects related to health data management, the companies announced in a statement. The aim of this joint participation is to “promote the alliance through various activities, reinforcing its position as a relevant player in healthcare management projects on an international scale.”

Among the benefits that this collaboration will bring is the possibility of storing health data in the cloud in an unlimited way and more securely than current physical servers. In this way, the data flow can be greater, access will be faster and health professionals will be able to expand information on diagnoses and treatments.

“This agreement will allow us to take advantage of the synergies between Better Care’s know-how in the collection and analysis of medical data and Oracle’s data management solutions, and will improve the work of healthcare centres in terms of efficiency and safety ,” adds Better Care’s CEO, Xavier García.

Better Care, based in Sabadell, currently operates in 35 hospitals in Europe

This alliance is relevant in a context marked by the recent green light given by the European Parliament to the provisional agreement to establish a European health data space, which will allow citizens to access their data electronically and health professionals to consult their medical records from any member state.

Outside of the agreement with Oracle, in the face of this scenario, Better Care has finalised its entry into the United States and expects to quadruple its revenues , up to five million euros.

Better Care currently operates in 35 hospitals in Europe and began operating in one in Canada last year, as PlantaDoce reported . The company also manages the license for 4,000 beds and plans to close 2024 with more than 6,000 beds . With its imminent entry into the United States, where it has already set up a subsidiary, the company will extend its presence to fifteen countries.
