The 18th edition of the CannaTrade will take place in Hall 622 in Zurich-Oerlikon from May 24th to 26th, 2024.

The international hemp event attracts with a spacious outdoor zone, the Hemp Food Festival, the Joint Roll Contest Swiss Championship, the CannaSwissCup and everything to do with CBD, cultivation, smoking accessories, nutrition and medicine. A central theme of the CannaTrade fair is of course the trials with legal cannabis that have been started in several cities. Not only are the first pilot projects for legal THC cannabis starting in Switzerland, Switzerland is also at the beginning of a new, simplified tax for medical cannabis. However, these two markets are still small with high growth potential. At the same time, Germany has partially legalized cannabis. So the market situation is exciting and changing.

CannaTrade takes into account the current market situation and re-enters a two-year cycle

The pilot projects for legal THC cannabis are starting in Switzerland , and we are also at the beginning of the new, simplified delivery of medical cannabis . However, both markets are still small, and at the same time it looks like Germany will decriminalize cannabis in the coming months, thereby attracting many companies (budgets) to Germany. This means that it was not easy to fill CannaTrade 2024 with exhibitors.

Less than three months before the trade fair, there are still the last stand spaces available to book. “We know this situation from previous years when, just like today, we had to wait for new laws until the market situation changed positively again. And so we are doing again what we did in the years 2010 – 2018: We are moving to a two-year cycle with CannaTrade.”

After CannaTrade 2024 (May 24th – 26th, 2024, Zurich), the next CannaTrade will not take place again until 2026 (May 8th – 10th, 2026, Zurich)
