Fellow Funders has launched its new equity crowdfunding platform accompanied by a new brand image. This new solution offers a comprehensive service for the company’s investors, which is characterized by being a proprietary development with a very powerful internal team of technologists dedicated exclusively to designing solutions that do not exist in the financial market.

Fellow Funders new platform thus incorporates more innovative systems that not only maintain the previously high levels of security but reinforce them even more

After raising €50 million to finance 80 projects with high growth potential in the last six years, this new platform will allow us to continue helping entrepreneurs and investors, and we expect to achieve a 3x increase in fundraising by the end of 2024.

According to Gonzalo Albero, Managing Director and CMO of Fellow Funders: “With this new platform and image, which we have been working on for a long time, we want to continue to show our followers, and those who are yet to come, that high potential investment does not have to be available only to a few. We want to make it easy for everyone, big and small, and thanks to a thorough technological execution, in-house by the way, along with a revamped look and feel and more creative potential, we believe we substantially improve the experience of what it means for us to be able to easily invest in startups or real estate.”

The new platform incorporates new features and enhancements, creating an environment that enhances the user experience for investors on this platform. These include a new referral program with a significant rewards program and an improved public environment, where each investor will have a private space exclusively for them with a summary, tracking, and reminders of their investments.

Three layers of IT architecture

Regarding the technological architecture behind it, the platform is based on three layers: back-end, channels, and Big Data. The main layer is the back end, developed using the latest design patterns: a 100% cloud architecture, based on microservices, automatic horizontal scalability, and APIFirst pattern, among others.

This technology lays the foundation for a highly efficient first release and for easy and scalable growth according to future needs. The channel layer is separated from the back end to maintain its independence. This allows the company to implement interfaces with other brands in the future, support new channels that may emerge, or even completely change the applications or website without affecting our business layers.

Finally, the software incorporates from day one a Big Data layer, based on a data-lake architecture using DataBricks. This solution allows Fellow Funders to collect and measure all the data from the ecosystem, generate reports and projections in minimal time, and implement Artificial Intelligence processes that the company is already developing.
