The third and final edition of FoodSeed, the three-year acceleration program promoted by CDP Venture Capital SGR, has officially opened, with the aim of supporting and growing the most innovative startups in the AgriFoodTech sector in Italy.

After the success of the first two editions, which saw the participation of numerous promising companies, FoodSeed launches its latest “Call4Startups”, in search of revolutionary projects capable of transforming the future of Italian agri-food.

A growing ecosystem, new partners on board

The program, which has received a total funding of 15 million euros, has already accelerated 14 Italian startups, including Foreverland, which recently obtained significant funding for its sustainable alternative to chocolate.

FoodSeed has attracted the interest of numerous prestigious partners, including Fondazione Cariverona, UniCredit, Eatable Adventures, Gruppo Amadori, Veronafiere, Accelerate for Impact Platform of CGIAR and the University of Verona.

This year, new major players such as Revo Insurance, Enologica Vason, NOI Techpark and Fondazione Bruno Kessler have been added, demonstrating the growing importance of the program.

Open Innovation: the key to the future of AgriFoodTech

The third “Call4Startups” aims to strengthen the dialogue between emerging startups and traditional companies, promoting the Open Innovation model. The goal is to select and support up to 10 Italian startups with innovative solutions for the agri-food supply chain, with a focus on sustainability, ethics and technology.

“ In an increasingly competitive market, innovation is essential for the future of Italian agri-food, ” says Alberto Barbari, Board Member of FoodSeed . “ With FoodSeed, we are committed to creating the ideal conditions for the birth and growth of valuable ideas, thanks to a solid network of collaboration between institutions, companies and research centers.”

Roadshows throughout Italy

Starting in March, FoodSeed will undertake a roadshow in several Italian cities, including Bolzano, Verona, Milan, Bologna, Rome and Bari, to meet young innovative companies and present the program.

Eatable Adventures: a strategic partner for FoodSeed

Eatable Adventures, a leading global FoodTech accelerator, plays a key role in the program, supporting startups in their growth on the global market. The company promotes a sustainable, efficient, healthy and safe food system, through the synergy between innovation, ethics and sustainability.
