Fellow affiliates. With measles breaking out in Texas.

And some mystery disease doing the most damage Congo’s seen since this guy landed a plane.

And a whole bunch of people worrying that these sorts of outbreaks will spread wider and faster now that Durex x USAID can’t supply the world with essential health services.

I thought it was time we did an edition dedicated to health. Or, to be more precise, health niches, and health affiliate programs.

The TopRanked.io Guide to the Best Health Affiliate Programs

If you’ve been a regular reader for a while now, then you’ve probably caught a couple of our top health affiliate program editions.

For example, there’s our Nutriprofits Affiliates Review edition. And then there’s our HealthTrader Affiliate Network Review edition. And there’s probably been a few other health affiliate programs we’ve written about… but I can’t remember them all.

But here’s something we’ve never done — we’ve never really told you how to find the best health affiliate programs for yourself. Instead, we’ve made you wait for us to spoon-feed you.

But this week, we thought we’d do something different. So here’s our quick guide to finding the best health affiliate programs.

Finding the Best Health Affiliate Programs — The Basics

Before you even start looking at the specifics of a health affiliate program, there’s one thing you gotta get right.

It’s what product manager types call “product market fit”. In other words, match the product to the niche.

Now, how do you work out this whole product-market fit thing?

Well, you’ve got a few avenues. Here’s two:

  • Test stuff — signup with a few health programs and test them on an audience.
  • Read stuff — market reports, social media, our lovely weekly affiliate marketing news roundup… there are plenty of sources that’ll help you figure out what sells and to who.

If you get through this stage, you should hopefully have a handful of candidate health affiliate programs lined up. Now for the next bit — picking the best health affiliate programs for you.

Finding the Best Health Affiliate Programs — The Selection

When we select health affiliate programs to feature here (or any program for that matter), there are a few basics we always look out for.

The biggest of them all is commissions — how much can you earn?

Now, as a rough guide, health affiliate programs should generally pay at least a 10% commission. Anything less than that, and you’re probably wasting your time.

With that said, 10% is really the bare minimum you should be looking for in health affiliate programs. In reality, 30-40% rev share is totally attainable (see our Nutriprofits Affiliates Review). Although, in reality, anything in the high teens is also pretty decent (for example, see the HealthTrader affiliate program).

Anyway, that takes care of commissions. But that’s only half the story. The other half we like to look at in all health affiliate programs is how well they convert. After all, what good are killer commissions if you’re not making sales, right?

Right.

And finally, there are a bunch of tiny details we like to look at in all health affiliate programs. Here’s a quick starter list:

  • Affiliate support — How well do health affiliate programs support their affiliates?
  • Tracking and attribution — Cookie life (30 days is fine. 90 days is great). Attribution policy (e.g., last click). Etc.
  • Brand reputation — Brand reputation can tell you a lot about health affiliate programs. Usually, a brand that cares about its reputation also cares about its affiliates. (Plus, it usually converts way better, too!)

Affiliate News Takeaways — For Your Health!

We’ve probably all heard about that asteroid that was supposed to hit earth.

And maybe some of you even took a moment to think “what would I do?” Just like this guy.

But this week, pretty much every space agency has downgraded the probability. Whereas it was “the highest impact probability NASA has ever recorded for an object of this size or larger”, it’s now pretty much a case of “not gonna happen”.

Guess we can all forgive Elon if he doesn’t get us to Mars before then.

Well that didn’t happen…

Anyway, what’s any of this got to do with affiliate marketing?

Well, that’s simple.

Now we aren’t all gonna die, it means we’ve all got something to live for beyond 2032.

And that means it’s a great time to start thinking about doing something for your health.

Or, more precisely, everyone elses health (otherwise, you won’t know what to sell them!).

So on that note, I pulled up a bunch of news stories from the last week that should hopefully give you a few niche ideas.

Black Spatulas

Late last year, The Atlantic wrote “Throw Out Your Black Plastic Spatula — It’s probably leaching chemicals into your cooking oil.”

The theory went something like this. Black cooking utensils contain flame retardents like deca-BDE. When you cook, these chemicals leech out into your cooking.

And this is bad because these chemicals are (among other things), linked to stuff like:

  • Cancer
  • Endocrine disruption
  • Neurotoxicity
  • Reproductive toxicity

Scary stuff, right?

TikTok seemed to think so, too.

Anyway, since then, the study The Atlantic quoted has since been called into question (apparently the researchers misplaced a decimal or something like that… basically, the ‘danger’ is 10x lower than originally reported).

But that hasn’t stopped the longtail effects from dragging on.

And so that brings us to the news from this week, where Bloomberg writes: “As social media amplifies alarmist headlines, cookware manufacturers try to meet shifting consumer preferences while not giving disputed claims credence.”

In other words, this whole saga is still dragging on. So much so that product managers at cookware companies are currently running around like headless chickens.

For instance, OXO is “exploring using different woods, including acacia and walnut, for utensils, along with more glass items.”

So, how do you make money from this?

Time for the takeaway.

Takeaway

If you thought I was going to tell you to start pimping non-plastic cookware or something like that, think again.

That’s too obvious — everyone else has beaten you to it.

Here’s what I think you can do instead.

Use this black plastic scare as a way to get attention. Then parlay into a bunch of stuff about “even if you get rid of your utensils, you’re still f**ked because… microplastics and stuff are everywhere.”

Then tell people about all the health effects this stuff has. You know cancer… endocrine disruption… cancer… neurotoxicity… cancer… reproductive toxicity… cancer… you get the point.

Why?

Simple — now they’re primed to buy a bunch of health products that help combat these ailments. And the best part is, you’re probably gonna earn way better commissions on this sort of stuff than you will pimping $9 stainless steel spatula sets via Amazon Associates.

But don’t take my word for it. Go check out the best health affiliate programs over on TopRanked.io for yourself.

Maple Water

Another week, another consumer health trend.

And this week, we’ve got these guys to blame.

Quick aside — Hey Trump (I know you’re reading), are you sure you want these guys as the 51st state?

Anyway, I digress, so here’s the news — tl;dr, Canadians saw how popular coconut water was, and decided they could do the same thing with maple water.

So why do we care?

Well, because the market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 18.19%. That’s why.

But there’s only one problem — there ain’t no Canadian maple water health affiliate programs that I know of.

So here’s how I reckon us affiliates can cash in on this instead.

First, take a look at what some of the purported ‘benefits’ of Canadian maple water are. In particular, I want you to focus on the health claims. Apparently, there are a few people who’d like us to believe it’s the “wholesomest drink in the world”.

Now go take a look at this. That’s an article about the specific health benefits of Canadian maple water. A few examples include:

  • Reduced muscle inflammation
  • Stabilized blood sugar levels
  • Cancer-fighting properties

And now, I want you to think about what you can do with this.

Takeaway

If you’re still struggling to think about how to cash in on this Canadian maple water thing, here’s one play.

  • Use the Canadian maple water trend to get attention.
  • Tell people about its health benefits
  • Now tell people how else they can get those same health benefits.

Now, why would you do this?

Well, maybe you’re promoting a supplement that delivers all of those benefits, plus more. Thus, you can pimp that supplement instead.

“But why would people buy my supplement instead of Canadian maple water?”, I hear you ask.

Okay, here’s a few pitches that can help answer that why:

  • Maybe you tell people your supplement has all the health benefits of Canadian maple water PLUS more! Therefore, your supplement is better.
  • Or maybe you just focus on the fact that your supplement is quicker, easier, and cheaper than Canadian maple water.
  • Or, if you’re promoting to MAGA, tell them your supplement let’s them enjoy the same health benefits without supporting Canadians.

The sky’s the limit. Just make sure you’ve check out TopRanked.io first so you know you’re promoting with the best diet and health affiliate programs.

Tobacco

Alright, let’s talk about tobacco.

Yeah, that’s right. I said tobacco.

And I know you’re probably wondering what that’s got to do with health aside from RFK.

But we’ll get to the health stuff in a minute.

First, the news — Cuban cigar humidors are hot property as cigar makers report massive increases in cigar sales. Habanos S.A., for instance, reported a 16% bump on a year-over-year basis.

Now, as for why this is, I honestly have no idea.

Or, at least, I don’t have any ideas that I’m actually sure of. Although, I do have a couple of theories about what’s driving the boom in cigars.

The simplest of those theories is Andrew Tate.

And that kinda leads me into the health stuff because, if a bunch of cigar sales are related to Andrew Tate, then they’re also related to all the stuff Tate reckons cigars (well, nicotine) help with. Here’s just a few of his claims:

  • Cognitive Enhancement – Tate reckons nicotine improves focus and mental clarity.
  • Stress Reduction & Relaxation – Tate says cigars help him relax.
  • Appetite Suppression/Fat Loss – He also likes nicotine as an appetite suppressant.
  • Increased Dopamine/Motivation – Tate says nicotine boosts dopamine levels, which equals better motivation, focus, and productivity.

He also says all the health warnings about smoking aren’t valid. Instead, he says other lifestyle factors (diet, stress, and lack of exercise) are worse for health. But maybe don’t tell anyone that, because that might get in the way of what we’re going to do next.

Takeaway

Look, we all know that smoking’s probably not great.

Of course, anyone thinking of taking up cigar smoking because Tate said so might beg to differ. But let’s face it, if they’re beta enough that some angry guy on the internet changed their mind, then they’re probably also beta enough that you can change their mind back.

And when you do change their mind back, that’s the bit where you profit.

Remember all those health benefits Tate likes to claim cigars have? You know, enhanced cognitive function, stress reduction, appetite suppression, etc?

Well, all you gotta do is tell people some alternate pathways to getting those exact same things.

What are those pathways?

Well, I’ll leave that for you to figure out. But, as you do, I suggest you make sure whatever you find can also be found on TopRanked.io’s roundup of the top-performing health affiliate programs.

Outbreaks

Remember the intro you read way back up at the top of this page?

Kinda makes you wonder — is there a chance that all these outbreaks are making people think a little bit harder about their immune system?

To be honest, I’m not actually sure about that.

Or, at least, I’m not sure about the correlation.

But here’s what I am sure about.

The last two years of Google Trends data for stuff like “immunity supplements” is certainly looking like its on an upward trend right now.

Not in any sort of massive way. But it’s definitely a noticeable uptick.

Oh, and as for why I’ve only compared two years worth of data — well, if you go back to Covid era, that throws the scale way off.

Takeaway

This one’s simple — go sell immunity supplements to people.

Stuck for ideas? Then head on over to TopRanked.io for all the best immunity supplement and health affiliate programs.

Closing Thought

By now, most of you should know we love a little James Clear around here at TopRanked.io HQ.

But for those who don’t, take a look at these links if you need proof:

See. Told ya we like James Clear.

So, on that note, here’s a little closing thought from his 3-2-1 newsletter this week:

“Think about self-control less as the quality of a person and more as the quality of a place. There are some places and situations that lean toward lower self-control and others that lean toward higher self-control. Self-control is about your context as much as your character. Put yourself in good positions.”

So, how do you put yourself in a good position?

Well, here’s one idea — surround yourself with some great health affiliate programs. 😉
