Millionaire Dating Migration: The “New Normal” in 2023

Unsurprisingly, the millionaire dating landscape underwent some seismic shifts as millionaires migrated as the world entered Covid lockdowns. What’s maybe a little more surprising is that, for many, these temporary migrations became permanent.

Of course, if you take the rise in remote work and lifestyle flexibility into account, this maybe isn’t all that surprising. And, when you consider the potential tax benefits (both personal and business), along with the better quality of life available, the millionaire migration starts to make a lot of sense.

Understanding the Millionaire Dating Migration

While the post-Covid millionaire migration has led to the rise of some surprising new millionaire hotspots, let’s first make one thing clear. The stalwart cities of the millionaire dating scene still take the crown, with New York and Los Angeles sitting comfortably in the number one and two positions, respectively.

But while the top positions remain largely unchanged, it’s in the middle of the ranks where we start to see some real movement.

What’s Driving the Shift?

One of the big driving forces behind the shifting ranks has been recent changes in legislation. For example, new tax laws in states like California have been pushing elite individuals to explore more tax-friendly states, like Nevada. This partly explains why we’ve seen cities like Las Vegas on the rise for millionaire dating since 2020.
