“We are very satisfied with the results we are achieving,” said Marco Frey, President of the UN Global Compact Network Italy.
“The number of members of our Network has grown by over 250 in the last two years: a figure that demonstrates how the awareness of the leading role that the private sector can and must play in the path of Agenda 2030 is increasingly widespread. For 2025, the goal of the UN Global Compact, to which we will contribute as an Italian network, is to accelerate and scale the global collective impact of business, integrating the Ten Principles and contributing to the SDGs through ambitious and reliable companies, capable of acting while remaining oriented towards sustainability in a constantly changing context.”
“The ever-increasing balance in the composition of the entities that are part of our initiative represents an added value, which strengthens the collective ability to address the challenges of sustainability also through a valuable exchange of experiences and knowledge. In short, by networking and creating synergies,” commented Daniela Bernacchi, Executive Director of UN Global Compact Network Italia.
“Within our Network, the sectoral diversification of members continues to grow, confirming a transversal commitment that involves key sectors of the Italian economy.
Sustainability is no longer a topic reserved for a few pioneers, but a strategic lever for the responsible development of all productive sectors. Over the course of the year just begun, UN Global Compact Network Italia will continue to strengthen its value proposition, focusing on sharing and enhancing the commitment of members.
Through the dissemination of best practices, the strengthening of skills and increasingly targeted training, we want to support organizations on their path towards sustainability.
Furthermore, we will continue to promote moments of meeting, dialogue and discussion between our members and the main national and international players in the world of sustainability, to build together a more equitable, resilient and responsible future” concluded Bernacchi.
