Amica’s Crowdfunding to Buy Casa Coll Raised Over 53,000
Currently, the property is part of Sniace’s liquidation assets, which makes its acquisition urgent to guarantee the continuity of this program. For this reason, Amica has thanked all the institutions, companies and donors for their generosity and has called on them to continue supporting this cause to obtain the remaining 47,000 euros before February 27 to be able to proceed with the acquisition.
Amica has managed to exceed the 53,000 euros raised through donations through its ‘1000×100’ crowdfunding campaign, launched a little less than a month ago with the aim of reaching 100,000 euros to be able to buy Casa Coll, a home in Torrelavega where the association houses eight people with disabilities so that they can develop their independence.

Amica fights for social inclusion
Of the total collected, the Torrelavega City Council has contributed 20,000 euros – a figure in which the annual agreement with Amica has increased, from 55,000 to 75,000 euros –, another 10,000 comes from the donation of a family and the rest, 23,000 euros, It has been collected thanks to citizen participation.
For the association, this achievement reflects the “commitment of Cantabrian society to Amica and social inclusion”, as well as “its empathy and solidarity.”
As explained in a statement, Casa Coll is a project that has allowed more than 60 people to train in autonomous living habits since its inception.
And, for Amica, this house, located in an accessible area and surrounded by essential services, “is more than a home; “It is a space that promotes independent living and social participation.”
