The first edition of the international fair ExpoCannabis Brazil will take place on September 15, 16, and 17, at the São Paulo Expo Exhibition Center, in the capital of São Paulo.

There will be lectures, talks, round tables, national speakers, and speakers from countries such as Argentina, Paraguay, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and the United States. In addition, more than 150 brands and public and private institutions will be present, with the support of one of the largest events on the subject in the world, ExpoCannabis Uruguay.

The organizers expect to receive 25,000 people during the three-day event, in an area of more than 8,000 square meters in one of the most important exhibition centers in Latin America. It is worth noting that the attraction of Brazilians to the event in Uruguay was decisive for the realization of the event on national soil, since in the last edition, held in December 2022 in Montevideo, 40% of the public present was composed of Brazilians.

“ExpoCannabis Brazil will be an important milestone for the deepening of debates on cannabis regulation in Brazil,” says Larissa Uchida, CEO of ExpoCannabis Brazil and spokesperson for the event. “In addition to promoting companies already operating in the cannabis market, we encourage networking and free education on the many applications of cannabis, showcasing the full potential of the sector through conferences related to topics linked to health, industry, third sector, technology, and sustainability. Our expectations are very high and we are receiving an incredible acceptance from companies and the public.”

The event is being organized by CannExp, a joint venture formed by companies such as Smoke Buddies, one of the largest cannabis portals in Latin America since 2011 in the cannabis sector. Also participating in the event are aLeda, the first Brazilian brand of silk and cellulose in the world, with more than 17 years in the national and international market; Open Green, the first Brazilian cannabis edtech company; MiCasa420, an agency specialized in experience tourism that has been operating for more than 8 years, and King Paper and King Blunt, silk and blunt companies.

What will be on offer at ExpoCannabis Brazil?

The ExpoCannabis International Forum is the main space for tables, conferences, and debates on cannabis, with different presentations on the latest advances in the medical, industrial, technological, innovation, and regulation segments, and the participation of national and international referents.

The space has a capacity for about 450 people in each presentation. The content presented at the International Forum will be free of charge, broadcast live on the main video streams (Youtube, Twitch, and Vimeo), and will be available post-event. In addition, all presentations will have translators and sign language interpreters.

The Knowledge Arena, where admission is also free for ExpoCannabis visitors, will feature workshops, lectures, and other activities on topics such as education, technology, innovation, cultivation, equipment development, and debates on social perspectives. This space has a capacity for about 120 people for each program, with a forecast of more than twenty speakers and workshops during the three days of the event.

In addition, there will be a space dedicated to the proposal of new ideas and businesses in cannabis and hemp and the companies participating in the event will be able to promote their products and services in an exclusive networking space.

The B2B (business-to-business) ticket is sold separately and also guarantees access to the exclusive business area of ExpoCannabis Brazil. Thus, it aims to generate opportunities within the cannabis ecosystem, and the possibility of connecting with leading companies in the sector and seeks to generate an exchange of contacts and business partnerships.

Solidarity tickets in partnership with the NGO Acção da Cidadania (Citizen Action)

The tickets that give access to the cannabis fair and to the spaces of the International Forum and the Arena of Knowledge have the value of half a solidarity ticket, carrying 1kg of non-perishable food, which will be distributed in partnership with the NGO Acção da Cidadania. The expectation of ExpoCannabis Brazil’s organization is to collect 25 tons of food that will be distributed in the outskirts of the capital of São Paulo.

“The campaign is a way to strengthen solidarity networks and draw society’s attention to the fight against hunger, something that became evident during the pandemic. We encourage the donation of essential products such as rice, peas, powdered milk, coffee, noodles, and flour,” said Larissa Uchida.
