Grünhorn Becomes Sponsor of the Leipzig Kings
Grünhorn has been selling CBD oils for humans or pets, as well as skin care products and medical accessories, in addition to prescription products since 2019. It operates a stationary pharmacy in the Paunsdorf Center in Leipzig. Part of the sponsorship is to offer Grünhorn’s own brands, such as CBD massage oil or CDB sports gel, in the Kings online store in addition to the Grünhorn logo on the jerseys.
With immediate effect, the online pharmacy Grünhorn is the premium sponsor of the football team Leipzig Kings. All player jerseys will bear the Grünhorn logo at shoulder pad level for this season. The sponsorship agreement was signed on March 1st by Stefan Fritsch and Andreas Assum, the founder and CEO of Grünhorn, and Moritz Heisler, CEO of the Leipzig Kings.
The Leipzig Kings are the youngest of the eight founding teams of the also young European League of Football (ELF). The league will not begin play until 2021 but is already attracting a great deal of interest: league games will be broadcast on ProSieben Maxx, and the league finals on ProSieben.

Grünhorn was opened in 2019. Cannabis flowers and preparations have been marketable in Germany since March 2017
The cannabis dispensary has been selling CBD oils for humans or pets, as well as skin care products and medical accessories, in addition to prescription products since 2019. Grünhorn is a brand of Schurer Gruppe GmbH from Switzerland. Grünhorn operates a stationary pharmacy in the Paunsdorf Center in Leipzig. “The settings are an ideal fit: We also only established ourselves in 2019. Nevertheless, we have since been able to establish ourselves as the market leader in Germany. So with the Kings, we are not only sponsoring our home base of Leipzig, but also a team that is just as young and ambitious as we are – and in an increasingly popular sport where team spirit and interaction are key. I’m also really pleased that we will be supporting the Kings personally at every home game,” explains Stefan Fritsch.
“Innovation, Leipzig origins, and a growing market are just some of the things Grünhorn and the Leipzig Kings have in common – which makes us all the more excited about this already exciting partnership. Especially in our sport, partners around the topic of health and regeneration are an absolute added value. Our football community can also look forward to great joint activities,” added Moritz Heisler.
The season begins for the Kings on June 4th with an away game. They will play their first home game in their new kit on June 11th.
