Pelorias Sea Sound, the international music festival born on the shores of the Strait of Messina, officially launches its crowdfunding campaign with an initial goal of €10,000, inviting the public, supporters, and the local community to actively participate in the planning of the 2026 edition.

The third edition is scheduled for Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the Horcynus Orca Foundation, within the Capo Peloro Nature Reserve—a meeting point between the Ionian and Tyrrhenian seas, where the border becomes a space of crossing.

Pelorias Sea Sound invites the community to help shape its 2026 festival through a shared crowdfunding initiative

A project that grows with its community Founded in 2024 as an independent initiative by Tuma Records APS and Crox Concerti, in collaboration with the Horcynus Orca Foundation, Pelorias Sea Sound quickly became a hub for local and community engagement.

The first two editions of Pelorias Sea Sound festival attracted hundreds of participants, over 20 local associations, and partners such as Banca Etica, Birrificio Messina, and the Sicilian Region, helping to revitalize and restore cultural significance to one of the city’s iconic sites. Today, the festival enters a new phase: consolidating its position as a stable cultural project, combining music, education, and regional development.

The Pelorias Sea Sound campaign isn’t just a fundraiser, but an invitation to participate in a shared project. The funds raised will support the festival’s main areas: ● Artistic programming – four international live shows and an evening DJ set ● Technical production ● Training activities for young artists and cultural workers ● Community engagement initiatives – workshops, sustainable markets, local crafts, water sports, visits to the MACHO, and performances throughout the festival

The voices of the Pelorias Sea Sound festival Alessandro Silipigni, production manager: “On Saturday, April 4th, at the press conference, we felt that Pelorias is already something alive: a lively venue, a genuine atmosphere, people who weren’t just there to listen, but to be there. The community isn’t a byproduct of the festival: it’s its starting point.”

Giacomo Farina, artistic director of the music section of the Horcynus Orca Festival: “After two years of competing against each other, we’ve come together, creating a creative and dynamic upheaval. Musical language is fundamental: if we destroy it, we lose the ability to imagine the future.” Valerio Perugini, fundraiser: “The fundraiser will serve to concretely build this festival with a highly participatory approach.

For this third edition of Pelorias Sea Sound, we’ve decided to open ourselves to the public and make Pelorias Sea Sound a stable hub for cultural offerings in the heart of the Mediterranean.” Peppe Belnome, artistic director: “This is a consolidation edition: we’ve expanded the team and are working well ahead of schedule. The program will include training activities, holistic practices, and exhibition spaces for local artisans and other performers. Not just music, but also cross-pollination and different artistic languages.

The musical projects? Borderline, very distant from each other, but also close to this land.” The organizing team also includes Giovanna Romano, Gianluca Fontanaro, and Mattia Monaco for Tuma Records, and Luciano Sem Cucinella and Danilo Spinoso for Crox Concerti.
