Naked brand: Where comfort meets style in the men’s underwear department
As the men’s underwear industry continues to rise, more and more underwear brands are offering something new on the table, giving men a lot of other options when it comes to covering their derrieres.
“Briefs or boxers?” This used to be the only consideration that men have when it comes to choosing their underwear.
However, the recent boom of the men’s underwear industry (now worth $6.5 billion and growing) shows how guys have to contend with more underwear-related questions other than the eternal boxer-or-brief dilemma. In fact, you can now choose to wear boxer briefs if you wish to, so that’s one problem solved.
There are more considerations on the way. There’s the cotton versus microfiber option for maximum comfort. There is also a proliferation of underwear styles, ranging from classic and sexy to active and even lucky underwear.
According to a survey done by Garcon Model to 1000 men online, 90 percent of men are now buying their own underwear, and 70 percent are buying them through online shopping. A majority of guys own between 15 and 20 pairs, and buy underwear at least three times a year. Though the respondents think that Calvin Klein, Emporio Armani, and Hugo Boss are iconic underwear brands, many of them have chosen comfort as their number one priority in choosing which brand to buy, leading them to purchase more from H&M by David Beckham, Garcon Model, and Under Armour.
Form Meets Function
One doesn’t need to compromise style in the name of comfort. A rapidly emerging innerwear and intimate apparel brand is the Naked Brand Group Inc. (OTCQB: NAKD), a company founded on one basic desire: the creation of a new standard for how products worn close to the skin fit, feel, and function. Like the name of the company, its underwear products feel as if one is wearing nothing at all.
Naked Brand has organized its product offerings into different designs and styles fit for every type of customer with different lifestyle and activities. The Essential Collection, the foundation of the Naked wardrobe, features ultra-soft cotton stretch fabric that is similar to conventional cotton underwear, only ten times more breathable. It also has seams that you won’t even feel, as the hidden waistband is designed to stay in place for ultimate comfort. Purpose-built for everything that you do, the Essential Collection is perfect for every occasion, including business meetings, lounging on the couch, and even holidays with your family.
For those who want something a little more sophisticated, Naked Brand’s Signature Collection boasts of uber-soft modal cotton fabric that stretches and keeps up with your every move. It has an especially designed contoured pouch for amazing comfort and tailored look. Its slim, modern fit and super smooth waistband is perfect for the gym or simply wearing it around town.
The Luxury Collection boasts of a fabric like you’ve never worn before—a micromodal fabric designed for ultimate comfort and a perfect fit under anything. Aside from the hidden waistband, the Luxury Collection also has flat lock stitching, meaning there are no bulky seams. It is finished with intelligent edging that stays in place and makes it easy to slide your pants on.
As for the Active Collection, the underwear is made of smooth microfiber that provides comfort and unlimited mobility. Only 35 percent of men love showing off their undergarments’ waistband, so the hidden waistband in the Active Collection makes for a stealthy move. Its athletic fit and moisture-wicking properties make this collection the perfect choice for those engaged in an active, sweaty lifestyle.
For those who want to flash the waistband and show off the Naked Brand logo, the company has underwear made of Tencel fabric, known for its unique softness, silky feel, and durability. The Tencel fabric also has moisture management properties and is manufactured in an eco-friendly way.
There is also the Silver Series, which is made with 99.9 percent Pure Silver Bonded woven into the nylon threads. It makes use of high performance fabric known as X-Static, which helps regulate your body temperature and keep you cool and chafe-free. It also has antimicrobial and anti-odor protection. Like what Materialogy said, “Naked underwear Silver Series takes it to another level.”
With an affordable price range and plans to expand to the women’s underwear department, Naked Brand looks to become a formidable force in men’s undergarments, pioneering the way towards the creation of underwear that reconciles fashion and style with comfort and ease.
