Vagamundos Festival Launches a Crowdfunding Campaign to Raise Funds for the Event
The first edition of the Vagamundos Festival was a success in terms of the number of spectators and participants. It was a success because it was attended by renowned personalities from the film scene and the audiovisual sector, as well as leaders from the world of science and travel, who joined forces to support the organization.
Vagamundos Festival launches a crowdfunding campaign with the aim of raising funds for the festival, whose second edition will be held on August 3rd, 4th, and 5th, 2023.
Vagamundos Festival is aimed at the entire rural community of the town and nearby municipalities, and the general public, of any age and background. It is a meeting point for all those film, travel, adventure, and nature enthusiasts, eager to tell and share experiences and with common interests.

Why is crowdfunding needed for the Vagamundos Festival?
Vagamundos Festival aims to become a reference among rural film festivals. It has also managed to become the first festival in Spain made exclusively with renewable energy and zero emissions and we want to keep it that way.
The first edition was a success in terms of the number of spectators and participants. It was a success because we had the presence of renowned personalities from the film and audiovisual sectors, as well as referents from the world of science and travel, who joined forces to support the organization. It was a success because Vagamundos was present in different media that contributed to the diffusion of the festival.
“However, in order to continue in this line, in addition to the effort, time, and enthusiasm of those who work to make Vagamundos Festival a reality again, and despite having sponsors and companies that collaborate with the festival, to which the organization is infinitely grateful for their involvement, we reiterate the need for your support and collaboration.”
Objectives of the festival
To carry out a cultural activity in a natural environment open to the general public, using exclusively renewable energies.
To economically revitalize the rural environment of the Ribagorza region, harmonizing the human and social landscape of the Graus area.
To promote the Ribagorza region and its surroundings as a tourist destination.
Creation of wealth and welfare for the area: greater number of visitors, public and social notoriety, support to local entities, increase in accommodation, lodging and tourism, adding value to the territory.
Demonstrate that it is possible to combine activities linked to urban circuits, such as cinema, with traditionally rural natural environments and those related to the primary sector.
To promote cinematographic and audiovisual culture in rural areas.
To generate a meeting place for professionals of the audiovisual sector and the rural community.
To offer a unique experience in a privileged natural environment to the spectators.
Use of renewable energies and zero emissions, with a cleaner and more sustainable world in mind. To this end, an old hydroelectric turbine has been put into operation, in disuse for more than sixty years, and which once provided electricity to five villages in the area, some of which are currently abandoned.
Use of photovoltaic energy from solar panels for lighting, projection and other uses, the commitment is 100% clean energy.
To generate the minimum impact on the environment.
