New Crowdfunding Campaign on Kickstarter for the Game Mistwind

From the designers of Sagrada, a new campaign is currently running on Kickstarter for the game Mistwind. The campaign, which has already been funded, runs until August 31. The worker placement game is aimed at 1 to 5 players and has a game length of 75 to 120 minutes.

About the game Mistwind

The newly explored areas of the Fogwind Islands are home to bustling towns with hard-working citizens, from mushroom farmers to deep fog divers. Transport whales float above the dense fog, carrying citizens and cargo from port to port.

Mistwind is growing rapidly, and our leaders are eager to network with neighboring nations to expand trade networks that will be useful for many years to come. You are the leader of a trading company and have a chance to make a name for yourselves. You have trained your transport whales well and now you must gather resources to build new outposts to maximize the efficiency of your network.

Mistwind is a strategic game in which the objective is to build networks and fulfill the requirements of each nation. You’ll gain resources to build outposts or train transport whales, collect and deliver cargo. These are used to fulfill territory requirements and make network contracts with neighboring nations to become the most trusted merchant in Mistwind.

Each player has a hand of action tiles numbered 1 through 5. At the beginning of each round, you must choose one to discard and not use in that round. The game board consists of 4 sections, each with its own spaces numbered 1-5, on which you play your action tile with the corresponding number. Each square on the game board allows only one action disc. Players take turns placing their action discs until each player has used all 4 discs, which ends the round. The game consists of only 4 rounds, so you must carefully choose when and where to use your actions in order to experience as many rounds as possible.

Points are earned by, among other things, laying out network cards, delivering resources to capitals, and getting the majority of demand tiles from each region. The player with the most points wins.

The crowdfunding campaign for Mistwind

The campaign is already funded and currently (17.08.2023) stands at a funding amount of just under 170,000 €. You still have the opportunity to support the game until August 31st. For about 88 € you can get a version of the game, which includes all unlocked stretch goals.

In addition, there are 19 € shipping costs to Germany, as well as the VAT fees, which are calculated in the Pledgemanager. The planned delivery date of the game is May 2024.
