“Carne Cruda” Podcast Exceeds €100,000 in Crowdfunding
The highest figure ever achieved through crowdfunding by a radio program in Spain. More than 2,000 listeners and followers have supported the program with their contributions. There are still sixteen days left to continue providing aid to the “Carne Cruda” program so that it rents premises in the center of Madrid, from which it will broadcast.
“Carne Cruda”, Javier Gallego’s program/podcast, will have its own studios in the center of Madrid, in a location, already chosen, which, at the same time, will serve as a cultural and social center for presentations, events, and meetings.
This was the dream that Gallego and his team started with when they launched a new crowdfunding campaign among his listeners and followers, with a minimum amount (€41,624) and a maximum (€87,835), currently widely surpassed.
“We return to the street to meet you. Because this republic is also a meeting place, a place where you can come to see us and where we can meet to enjoy together programs, concerts, presentations, meetings, events…”.
The possibility of broadcasting over the Internet, through online radio, without the need for a license or own radio station, allowed Javier Gallego to start a solo adventure as the reborn “Carne Cruda”. The funding to maintain this new self-managed business model came through crowdfunding or micro-patronage. The listeners were the ones who financed the program because they felt part of it. Thus, this new “Carne Cruda” maintained by its followers has subsisted since 2014 until today, when it has inaugurated its tenth season.

And the step that Javier Gallego announces now is decisive in the life of the podcast Carne Cruda
“This program that was evicted from two radio stations, has its own home,” says the ideologist. “Finally, we are going to make ‘La República Independiente de la Radio’ a reality. This is the culmination of the path we started with you, with you, with you, in 2014. We’ve gotten this far thanks to all of you who have helped keep this drifting ship afloat for a whopping 9 seasons now.” Until now, “Carne Cruda” was recorded at Good-It Studios. But, starting with this show, “Carne Cruda” will have its own headquarters.
“They threw us out on the street and to the street, we return. To meet you. Because this republic is also a meeting place, a place where you can come to see us and where we can meet to enjoy together programs, concerts, presentations, meetings, events…”, announced Gallego. And he explains that, with the proceeds, they are going to set up a space for ‘independent sound creation’, in a place in the center of Madrid, “which we will turn into a professional radio studio”. The technical equipment of these studios will be provided by the Spanish company AEQ, sponsors of this website.
