Five Projects Are Collecting Donations until May 6th on Speyer Crowd

When it comes to crowdfunding, it’s all or nothing. The money collected will only be paid out when the amount required for the project is raised. Otherwise, all supporters will receive their money back. With the Speyer Crowd, the SWS have so far contributed to the successful implementation of 31 projects. 1,948 supporters generated donations of 130,883 euros for Speyer and the region.

You can donate to five projects on Stadtwerke Speyer’s funding platform, the Speyer Crowd, until May 6th. The municipal utilities supplement every amount of at least ten euros with 15 euros from their funding pot. 3,000 euros are available for this. Good for donors: You can support charitable projects with even small donations.

For example, in 1982 the TC Harthausen collected money to put the third tennis court back into operation. The club would need 5,000 euros in donations in addition to its own funds and the support of the sports association to professionally renovate the field. The need is there, the number of members of the small club has recently increased to almost 100. Children and young people in particular are particularly interested in training on the tennis court.

The DRK Speyer district association intends to procure a refrigerated vehicle for the food bank

There is a remaining amount of 4,000 euros missing, which should be raised through crowdfunding. The aim of the food banks is that all high-quality food that can no longer be used in the economic process is distributed to those in need. In order to maintain the cold chain for perishable and refrigerated food, the food bank in Speyer urgently needs a new refrigerated vehicle.

The Otterstadt sailing club has already collected the remaining amount for a RIB inflatable boat for youth work. The club has always accompanied the training sessions with an electric motor boat and has not used a combustion engine. However, the trainer boat is getting old and a replacement is needed.

The new RIB will be just as quiet and equipped with an electric motor as the previous one and will enable safe training for the next 20 years. The new boat costs a total of 35,000 euros – the club has saved 25,000 euros, the rest comes from company donations and crowdfunding.

Two other institutions from Speyer are at the start

The St. Konrad daycare center would like to use the donations to renew a rotten piece of play equipment – a tree platform – and has already reached its funding goal of 2,500 euros. Because the play tower and suspension bridge will soon have to be replaced for TÜV approval, more donations would be very welcome: A local carpenter has estimated the cost of renewing the playground at 16,000 euros. The Kita WoLa support association is planning a drum participation theater and needs 2,000 euros for it.
